Art Revival - Demon Beast Valentina

What a month it's been, but I'm certainly glad to have been able to finish this sequence for Art Revival. It's gone through quite a few changes since those initial sketches, and some brutal little details that befit a corruption like this, but I hope you guys like the final result.

It won't be long before I open the polls for next month's Art Revival, and this will be a fresh one with some cuter TFs involved xD

Art Revival - Valentina Demon Beast WIP Update

I'm happy today to share the WIP update for the Art Revival Project. Talking to TomLloyd we settled on a colour scheme that would befit a hellbeast, and not too close to the Ushi-Oni colours I used in the last Art Revival. I also bulked her out a bit more in one of the panels. After the delays this past week I will certainly have this one ready by tomorrow!

Sketch WIP - Malzeno TF (Challenge)

From tomorrow I should be back to work on commissions and Art Revival, but I thought I would share with you all the latest challenge tf. This one follows on from the Monster Hunter Rise ones Tom and I worked on earlier, except now featuring an Elder Dragon. Working on Malzeno was a nice challenge, and I thought it was cool to mix vampiric elements into a classic dragon design with some nice neckfluff. Also I couldn't resist using the Qurio as a catalyst for the TF.

Art Revival WIP - Valentina Demon Beast (Inks)

After a long weekend of convention work, I wanted to start the week off with an update to Art Revival. Inking gave me a chance to update the old sketches and make sure they were consistent throughout the tf. I think most of the details are in the inking, so hopefully base colouring won't be too bad.

Sketch Commission #39: Shark Pooltoy TF

The final sketch commission of the month was made for Unknowenbudy, who this time requested a shark pooltoy girl. For a tf that I have not much experience in it does make a nice change of pace. I also don't mind doing this kind of sentient object tf as the girl can still move about of her own volition.

News Update 21/07/2022

Just a short update for all the Patrons here. This weekend I'll be exhibiting at a convention in London so the art release will be a little slow for a bit, though I am hoping to schedule some more WIP sketches for next week, when I will be away on family business. It's been a very busy time here and I have a lot of work starting to build up with commissions and my own work, but soon the WIPs will start rolling in here. Sketch Commission #38: Freya FF9 TF

Today's sketch commission was made for Mephis, who requested a TF into Freya from FF9. I know she's a fan favourite, and many people have done some nice work with her in the past.

Sketch Commission #37: Falcon Harpy TF

Today's sketch commission was made for Magi, who this time requested one of his OCs become a Harpy. We settled on a falcon design, and I am quite happy with how it's come out. I opted for a standing pose rather than a flying one as I found some good refs of falcons like this, and the pattern works out pretty well.

Sketch Commission #36: Willow Tree TF

Today's sketch commission was made for Cornivious, who gave me the unusual request of a tree tf for his Office Lady character. I have done a tree tf in the past but this time I decided to tackle it a little differently with a willow tree, which I thought would work well with the hair and create some interesting branches.

Sketch Commission #35: Meisa Snow Leopard TF

A new week of sketch commissions begins and we start with this sketch for TomLloyd. In this case he requested a nice intimate picture of Meisa drying herself after a shower, snow leopard fur starting to spread on her back above a tail. Quite a nice chance to practice a different pose too.

Commissions Open - 48 Hour

I'm happy to anncounce that I am opening four commission slots today. I will admit there's going to be a lot happening over the next few weeks and so commission progress will be a little slower than usual, but I certainly don't want them to go beyond August either. Commission: Cassandra Cat Origin TF

Commissioned by Repeatedmeme_42, and in a similar vein to the Hellhound I did a couple of months ago, he requested I work on the origin of his other OC Cassandra and her cat form. It was another chance to work on some more detailed backgrounds that would allow for dynamic posing.

Commission Opening announcement

I'll be posting a journal on FA soon, but I wanted to alert anyone here that I'll be opening my commissions this coming Friday for my usual 48 hours. The reason why Friday rather than my usual Saturday is because of family things happening on the following Monday, so I want to resolve payments quickly on Sunday. With that being said I'll probably open 4 slots which should take me into August too. It's also getting close to convention time so things might slow down just a little bit.

Art Revival WIP - Updated Sketch for Demon Beast Valentina

It's definitely been nice returning to this tf after so long, and its given me a chance to expand on the story and the possession. Overall I feel like it adds to the overall horror of this monstrous tf.

Commission WIP: Cassandra Cat TF Origin

Today's WIP is from my latest commission from Repeatedmeme_42, who wanted to see me tackle his OC's cat girl origin. After my work with the hellhound tf, I wanted to try some more things with backgrounds, and I'm particularly happy with the lab and how well it works with the different poses.

July Art Revival Winner - Valentina Demon Beast TF

What an amazing poll this has been. While it came down to being a two horse race I didn't expect Val to catch up to Makoto in the last 24 hours. Recently I've been considering reducing the poll open time to a couple of days, but now I will probably keep it to the usual 7 days.

Commission: Barnyard Breeding Stock

Today I'm pleased to unveil the completed commission for TomLloyd, which used three of his sketch commissions as the basis for a single tf pic. Here his three OCs Aika, Nadia and Lenora respectively are being transformed into male farm animals to fill up gaps in their breeding stock. The text really adds to the mental change and corruption imo and I hope people will like the final result.

Commission WIP: Barnyard Breeding Stock

This commission was from TomLloyd, who wanted to take the three FTM animal tfs I've done as monthly sketches and put them into a single picture with full colour etc.. Despite being designed as single pics, they have come together pretty well all things considered, and it was nice to add a bit more to the tf with some dialogue.

So we start this new fresh month with a nice aquatic commission for Cornivious who requested a Leafy Seadragon TF. I always like getting unusual species to work with, and the challenges that come with making the steps transition between human and something so different.

Art Revival - The Ushi-Oni's Curse

Well it was tight, but I managed to have the Ushi Oni Art Revival finished by the end of the month. I made a couple of changes over the course of its creation but I'm quite happy with how it turned out overall. It's a tf I've been looking forward to doing for quite a while.

I will probably announce the new poll very soon as it would be nice to pick one earlier. But I hope you all like the final result of this piece.

Art Revival WIP - Base Colours

A little snapshot of how I often work during base colouring, with my reference on the page to make sure their colours are consistent with the original character. I thought red would go well with the yokai's skin to fit with its Oni heritage.

Art Revival WIP - Ushi Oni Inks

This week will see the arrival of the Art Revival Ushi-Oni tf sequence on Patreon, so I thought I would start with the inks. While I had the sketches laid out, I realised there was a bit of a jump between the first and second part, so I added an extra panel to show the start of the feet tf.

Commission WIP: Leafy Seadragon TF

I have been getting some nice challenging tfs to work on lately, including this seadragon tf for Cornivious. When I have to work with an animal I know little about, I often do a little bit of research to learn more about the animal and its anatomy. I had no idea that seahorses like this have no stomach and constantly just siphon in plankton for food.

Challenge: Calmudron (MH RIse TF)

To coincide with the release of the Monster Hunter Rise Expansion, TomLloyd and I have been working on a nice tf. Today I finished putting the final touches of the Almudron, quite a complex beast for sure, but I'm really happy with how its turned out. I hope you guys like it too!

Sketch Commission #34: Eri Hellhound TF

This month's final sketch commission is for Mephis, who wanted a double-headed hellhound tf with influences of Helluva Boss. I added my own flare with the horns and collars of a classic hell hound. 

Sketch Commission #33: Bavarian Catgirl Aika

Today's sketch commission was requested by Unknowenbudy, who wanted to see TomLloyd's OC Aika as a catgirl in a Bavarian Dirndl dress, to coincide with my trip to Germany. Catgirls are always fun to do and the dress works quite well with her. She just needs some beer now xD

Challenge: Almudron TF WIP (Base Colour)

Oh boy, first there was the costume, then the almudron and it's scales. Monster Hunter creatures are some of the most complicated designs I do, but it is satisfying to see them at this stage. Also made some slight adjustments here and there including shrinking Cal a bit in the early stages to show some growth.

Sketch Commission #32: Lenora Stallion TF

Today's sketch was for TomLloyd, who this time requested his OC Lenora became a stallion. This kind of FTM really fits well with Lenora and horses have always been a good choice for tfing her, so I'm very happy with how this one has come out.

Challenge: Almudron TF WIP (Inks and Text)

Though not quite the spoiled princess as her older sister, Calista probably doesn't like having to mess around the in the dirt, or have yucky yellow mucus mud thrown at her. Still it leads to some interesting results and she soon comes to feel quite at home in her own mire. God Almudrons have so much detail on their scales...
