Despite knowing of Adrian for years through fellow artists and tutors it wasn't until a year ago that we had the opperutunity to work with him at one of our Zoom life class. Sofas and armchairs are our places of rest and decompression. Our physical vessels sink deep down into the soft furnishings, and we can become disembodied, through that soft, heavy feeling. Marks’ poses are characterized by inertia, our model flops and drapes himself across the armchair, comatose and passive. In this quiet and contemplative photo set, mundane acts like sitting at a table become re- contextualised through unexpected and surprising model interactions. In Pensive the imaginative realm is always full of the extraordinary, shapes and animals appear from paper folded into origami, the white blank page made less daunting. Nothing extraordinary has taken place, and Urte remains passive, plates and bowls balanced on her head.

In ‘Back to Front’ we explore being back to front and inside out - playful, simple, humour-driven reference imagery which has strong graphic shapes, contrasting lights and darks, I’d recommend watercolour and ink as a starting point.

Shopping Bag is an an immensely drawable photoset in playful, pastel colours.
