I just wanna talk about where I'm at and what I'm thinking about in terms of projects, now that Patreon has passed my long-term stated goal of reaching 1000 patrons.
Swords is about to turn 7
7 years is a hella long time to be working on the same thing! There are currently 890 episodes! I will keep doing Swords as long as people keep enjoying it, which may be 50 more years if I take care of myself.

The Final Qwest has begun! I plan to only do Quest Sprout episodes between now and March 5th/Episode 900; rounding off the first 7 years of Swords. It's time for Quest Sprout's inclusion in the Demon Sword storyline to end, but it's not the end of the series! There's still so much more to do!

Here's a piece by piece breakdown of how I draw ordinary episodes.
Swords and Stars are both drawn on a Surface Pro 8, using the default brush tool on its default 10 pt setting in MediBang Studio, a free piece of software.
Shading is done on a 50% transparent layer set to 'Multiply' - usually in some shade of blue or purple.
I reuse the same frame in every episode, so I'm not spending a lot of time sett...

So I'm starting to get some jabs from readers on Webtoon about the chronological order of Stars (yes, you have permission to laugh). I've learned from 7 years of hearing it elsewhere that I'd rather not let that problem spiral too far out of control, so just to stay on the safe side, I've rearranged the first 100 episodes into a curated arrangement where you don't have to recall things quite as often.

It's been a weird year. A lot of promises needed to be kept, but new obstacles arose, so it was hard to move forward. And I still have some work to do!
Including Swor'nament Episodes, there were 107 new episodes of Swords this year; as well as 46 new episodes of Stars. That's about 1 new episode every 2.4 days, which is hardly my best effort to date, but not terrible either.
The Bread Knight became the King of Hiltshire! We haven't seen much of him lately....
