Weekly Dev blog: Putting up a scene

Poll time! Time to discuss our battle plans!

Or rather, I was thinking of adding some scenes where the protagonist is a bit more aggressive, and I figured I could get some feedback on the type of scenes from you guys. I generally write more submissive/neutral stuff, so it's harder to make more aggressive stuff fit the whole, so this way I can at least pick stuff that you might like, making it worth the effort. Or so I thought, hopefully that's how things work out. ^_^

Weekly dev blog: A game of dice

So, this week I took care of testing for the new temple, which lead to fixing several bugs, as well as improving some of the content (thanks to the testers ^_^). So, another week is gone! I am working on the main story, as I mentioned before. Specifically, after adding the required dialogue with Alpharius, I did some progress on the new temple: the map is pretty much complete, and I have added some of the puzzles (as well as finally getting to use a spell I had ready for a while). So, we start the new development cycle by targeting the main story, this time around (the poll results from the 5$ or more donors came in more than a week ago), which means I'll have to add the following:

The new part of the main quest (which will take us to Alpharius and then on a mission to try and impress a new guy in a new area, the noble district in Tarkas);

General poll follow up

So, I think the poll results are pretty much definitive by now. Since the top choice by far was to improve tilesets/characters, I figured I'd ask once again, so I can get a "priority list". I already took advantage of the Steam sale to grab some tilesets/characters so I have a broader selection to pick from. I also grabbed some more music, and some tilesets which might be used in one of my possible future games, but that will have to wait until I have a demo ready (I am slowly working on those)....

Weekly dev blog: More mansion, marvellous!

So yeah, I have been working some more on the noble stuff. I did add a few more "upgrades" to the house, as well as added some more secrets. I polished the mine quest a bit more, and wrote another scene related to your noble status (it triggers after you sleep in the mansion the first time). So, I finished the mine quest, did some closed testing to take care of the most glaring bugs, added some more dialogues/content to Golden Leaf (introducing yet some more NPCs to the place), worked on some details (like having workers show up and disappear when appropriate during repairs), added some more improvements you can work on in the mansion (the map is almost 100% done, but I need to work on the code for some more stuff), and generally tried to smooth out the experience.
