As discussed here, Delirium is an Envy and linked to Pagan, who is a Gluttony. Whenever Pagan starts to overindulge, Delirium's weight will unexpectedly balloon and he'll swell up rapidly. Once his weight matches the 'excess' of Pagan's, then ~poof~, the swelling deflates into soft fat....
