Upcoming Vacation

Hi everyone,

I'm writing to let you all know that I'm planning to take some much needed vacation time after I finish my current round of commissions (hopefully by the end of this week.) I've taken a few other breaks this year, but I haven't taken any actual time off. I've always just taken a break from one kind of art to work on some other art.

Unfortunately this is seriously burning me out. :c I wish it wasn't because I absolutely love being able to do art full time. But...

Update: While working on page 6, I realized I forgot to draw the horns on the sheep. I fixed that, then I also added boxes around the dialogue to make it match the following page. I think it also helps it look more "finished". The attachment is also updated.

Daily Grind - Checking Email WIP - VOTE!

I'm still working on the Daily Grind, although it's taken a back seat while I work through commissions. 

That said, I did two versions for part 3: checking email. But I can't decide which one I like better. So I figured I'd put it to a vote for my $12 patrons! Let me know which version (if any) you prefer.

I've sent out emails to everyone who I selected to do a commission for this month. 

Like last time, I got more than twice as many submissions as I was planning to take, so it was really hard to narrow them down. There were several in this round that I really liked, and just didn't have time for. Thanks for everyone who submitted ideas! I really appreciate the support! :>

Luke's Photomanip

Here's a full res version of Luke's photomanip. It was easier to draw it as a separate pic and composite it on the phone rather than trying to draw it on there directly. Plus it gave me the freedom to do the alt version too which I might use later.

Also I decided his name is Luke. x) Probably will name the other guy at some point too.

August Commissions Open!

After getting about a dozen requests in the past week or two, I've decided to finally open for commissions again. (I was planning to anyway, but boy some of you were getting antsy! ;> ) 

I'll be taking a pretty limited number this month, probably only 5 to 10 slots. Although it does depend somewhat on the number or types of ideas I get. Still please submit something if you're interested!

Vorecurious Cover Update

For my $2 tier: I'll have the next comic page up next week. It's an extremely complex one since it shows screen shots of the Slurpr app. So in addition to the usual inking and coloring of the comic page, I've also had to design the Slurpr logo, design the app layout, do two different pages of the app for two separate panels, and do additional illustrations needed for the app that are separate from the comic. It's taking forever. x_x But I got a lot done today so I'll definitely have the page ...

Again, here's a WIP for this project as well. This one is taking extra long because in addition to just drawing and coloring the regular comic page I had to: design and create the Slurpr logo, design the Slurpr app interface, do two different pages of the app interface in Photoshop for the two panels it appears here, and draw additional graphics for the interface separate from the rest of the comic. The Daily Grind - Shower WIP

I worked a ton on both the next Daily Grind pic and the next comic page this week, but still wasn't able to get either of them done. (I did some video editing this week too which cut into my usual arting time.) 

In this case I've got the base image done, but still want to do various levels of the shower filling up. So that's going to take a bit of time yet. In the meantime, have a WIP.
