Locker Room

I've been working on a locker room set the past few days. Hopefully this will be something I can use in upcoming projects. I want to get to where I'm creating full scenes rather than just having a character floating in space or working on lots of individual assets.

Jasmine Turntables

The nice thing about having a fully rigged character is that it's super easy and fast to set them up in a new pose and render it out. So I did two turntables to match the turntables for the other characters I've done in 3D. Videos are attached to this post.

I may end up practicing animation on her at some point as well. This model feels a lot more "solid" / less janky than the ones I've done in the past. (Though it's not without its problems!) Still, might be a good one to test out some...

Horse Strength page 1

First page of the next comic! This is one that was voted on by patrons a full year ago for my October TF Face Off bracket. The winning idea was for a small human who gets TFed into a huge, buff anthro horse via some horse steroids. I got all the other shorter TF comics done, but got busy with other stuff (including still doing Happy Birdday at the time) and I never delivered on that one. So I'm doing it now!

Jasmine

Introducing Jasmine! This giraffe was voted on by you folks a few weeks ago as the next character for me to create in 3D, and I finally got her finished! Decided to call her Jasmine because that seemed like a nice and fitting name for her that's not too common or generic.

I'll likely be doing more with her in the future. (if only because I spent so much time building her, haha. God, so much work...) Although in the next few weeks I may take a break from character stuff to work more on ...

Giraffe with Fur WIP

This model is kicking my ass! I knew when I started it I wanted to use it as a test model for fur and to incorporate what I've learned about Blender's hair particle system since I started playing around with it. Little did I know that it is extraordinarily tedious to fur up an entire model like this. So much finicky, detail-oriented fussing around with settings and values. My brain is kind of burned out after the past two days of fiddling with this model.

Giraffe Texture WIP

I got the texturing on the giraffe character mostly finished up. I need to make a few tweaks here and there but overall I'm pretty happy with it!

I tried to do the texturing in such a way that I can use it for the base of a fur particle system, but if that doesn't work out because I have no idea what I'm doing and/or it makes my computer explode, I can still get a decent render with it just the way it is now. Doing the hair/fur will probably be the next step.

Sauna Test Renders

I've been meaning to do some interior work for a while. I started modeling a locker room for reasons, and got decently far along before I realized I should probably start with something simpler. So I decided to try a sauna since it's a relatively small room with basic shapes and materials. I'm glad I did too because I ended up making several mistakes that would've been pretty demoralizing on a larger, more complicated room, but were mostly just annoyances with easy work-arounds on a small set...

Happy Birdday Cover WIP

I realized I didn't have a good cover image for the comic so I did this today. I just needed something I could slap the title on and use for advertising. I'll probably tweak this a bit so still a WIP, but I think it'll work.

Happy Birdday page 40 - Final Page!

We've reached the end of Happy Birdday! Thanks everyone who supported me all the way to this point. Hard to believe I started the comic over a year and a half ago. Just kept it going this entire time. :> 

I'll be posting an update soon about the upcoming comics. I think I'm going to take a short break from comic work, just the rest of this month. Then I'll be picking up the next one in October.

Giraffe WIP

Here's an update on the Giraffe model. Still some wonkiness and a few things I need to finish but I'm pretty happy with the overall progress so far. I'll probably pick this up again next week since I've got some other stuff I've been wanting to work on in Blender that I'll likely do tomorrow. Plus that'll give me some time to sleep on it... You kind of get blind to the problems you want to fix after you've been staring at them all day. x)

Public Call

I've been trying to keep my painting style more loose and not obsess over details too much. I think I was mostly successful with this one, but I always feel like I need so much more practice with digital painting.

Quarterhorse - Free Download

My horse cock pack is finally finished and out on GumRoad! The full version is available to purchase there (gumroad.com/pulsar). But I thought I'd release one of them for free for my $12 patrons!  I know I don't release a lot of exclusive $12 art, but as I do more 3D stuff, I want to release some of that for the higher tier as well. Pulsar Hippogryphtaur

I was chatting with some friends the other day and it came up that I've never drawn Pulsar (as in his bird upper self) as a centaur. So I did that!

There are a ton of alts on this one because it's just a fun pic to mess around with. I also stuck a bird tail on the horse butt and I thought that was a really cool look, so I ended up doing most of the alts that way too.

Horse Junk WIPs

These are some test renders from my upcoming asset pack! I'll probably be posting these for sale on GumRoad in the next few days. They'll also include the procedural horsecock shader, which all of these examples are textured with. 

I'm really happy with the near photorealistic results these give. Between the detail on the models and the shader you can get some pretty nice looking renders. I'm looking forward to seeing what people do with them!

Giraffe Bust WIP

I started working on the giraffe character, as voted on by everyone a few weeks ago. I thought it'd be easier to model this one with the mouth open, but I guess I'll see how that ends up working once I get to rigging it. Looks kind of creepy without any teeth or tongue x)

Pan and Pulsar

Completed fan art for Pan! I really like how the size difference in this one came out. Good emphasis on how much bigger he is than the bird. :> Also made a version with a net thong because he drew himself in one once and I really liked the look.

You'll probably be seeing a bunch more fan art over the next few weeks. Something I've found that's helped my creativity is to revisit my fan art list and start drawing pics for friends or folks I admire that I've been meaning to do for years...
