It's been a while since I participated in a DTIYS, so when someone in twitch chat suggested Lumeree's wonderful challenge, I decided to jump aboard. Such a fun and magical design!!
I played around a little with some textures and lost edges in this piece. I like the idea of it but I think I need to practice more with how to use those painterly brush strokes to fuzz out specific edges.

I finally finished the next Zodiac Sign! I There are some variations of her so make sure to flip through to look at multiple versions of this sign. Since she is a water sign, I started drawing her as a mermaid but then I thought that it could also be nice to a have a leggy version of her so after painting her tail and coming to almost completion, I painted legs on top of the artwork to give her a human version.
