Cupid [SFW version]

Hi hi!  I gave this cupid girly a toga style dress!  Looking up references for these types of dresses is so fun!  The swooshy fabric is so beautiful, I might need to try and draw mist in a dress like this!

Color Study {with speedpaint video}

You may have noticed in the art pack 39 (go make sure you grab that before the end of the BTW!!!) that I included a couple of little rough painting photo studies. 

I have been starting to do more of these because I think they are really helpful, especially when it comes to understanding color and lighting.  They are also relatively quick to do, and don't need to be overly polished to call "complete".  In fact, something I really like about these types of painting...

Crystal Waters

Well, this is one of those paintings that I know I'm never going to be satisfied with.  It should have been a quick study but because I had a vision in my head that just wasn't coming out how I wanted, I struggled with this one for much longer then I should have.  Oh well!  Better done then perfect, as they say.   I do want to revisit the idea of an elf showering under a waterfall but plan it out at a time when I don't feel so rushed.

Retro Cats {sketches & WIPs}

I hope you guys had a great weekend! I watched a bunch of Lightbox and am still trying to get through some panels that are still available for rewatch!

I picked up MaxU’s “retro brush pack” for procreate during Lightbox and am trying it out here and there. (Not sponsored btw. 😂).

Lucky witch... somehow she got 2 cat familiars! And that one in the backpack looks like a trouble maker. lol

Simple Fluffy Cat Mini Tutorial

A mini-tutorial on how I tend to doodle simple kitties!  The secret is drawing a potato!  lol
1. Draw a potato shape
2. Add ears, and lines indicating the chin/neck, and legs
3. Add Ears, nose, and define shapes of legs and feet
4. Add detail to the sillhouette, and define more features in the face.  Also add the tail!
5. More detail to the fluff, and eyes.  Also add whiskers!
