Several Editions of Dē Bellō Gallicō of Caesar for both intensive and extensive reading
Using more than a few editions of classics in Latin is a key to make the reading experience feel smoother, especially if you are an autodidact. In terms of Dē Bellō Gallicō, we are more than lucky to have dozens of editions prepared for various needs of students by prolific editors, interpreters. Studien und Plaudereien of Sigmon Martin Stern dates back to the end of 19th century when the natural/direct approach started to flourish. As a predecessor, it is a rather archaic version of Arthur Jensen's Nature Method books and Hans Ørberg's LLPSI but it is still probably the best book written which teaches German through German only. (Considering the rarity of such books for any language, we must regard ourselves lucky that this book is still available and useful for the contemporary lea...

The book consists of writings originally written in Italian with their literal interlinear translation. The method is known by many as the Hamiltonian method and was recommended by the philosopher John Locke as a great way of learning/teaching languages. (Note that Comenius had written books similar to these ones.) Since more can easily be found as to how this method should be applied(don't worry, it is already pretty much self-evident) by googling keywords as "Hamiltonian method of learning ...

This is another book written in a way similar to those of Arthur Jensen's. The book consists of about 300 pages and more info as to the method using which it was designed for learners of French is concisely explicated in the Preface. If you are a beginner, it would be a great strategy to use this book in conjunction with Le Français Par La Méthode Nature!
