You may recall the sketch version of this from like... (*checks notes*) more than a year ago. I had considered using it for the book cover because I like the pose but I'm already trying to undo how action-oriented my romance comic appears to be. I can't wait to show everyone the cute pose I've made for these two in the real cover XD

Thank you all by the way for being so patient with me while most of my time has been taken up by behind-the-scenes work.

I think I mentioned it before but I'm working my way backwards through the pages now so that I could get the simpler edits out of the way sooner. I'm not really going to be showing the side-by sides of most of the later pages because they shouldn't be nearly as drastic as the early ones but this one needed some particular tlc. I don't even know what I was going for with the needlessly complicated and distracting background.

At the end of chapter 2 I accidentally messed up my page numbers but luckily caught it before it became a real issue. Here is the belated page 99.

You may notice certain shots where I just completely nixed the background in places I had earlier included it. I try to include the background at least once every page but in many panels, especially ones that are dialogue-focused, it really isn't necessary.

I notice traditional webcomic creators will often throw in all these complicated hand-drawn backgrounds that will just get ignored because we're following the conversation rather than the stage direction. I think it might have some...

I actually redrew this page once already and I don't remember if I uploaded the original side-by-side to Patreon or not. I did it sometime last year so I was thinking "it's cool, this one's done already and I just have to fix colors. So obviously I decided to redraw it again anyway. The layout was just off and I like it better now.

My foot is healing up and the tendons appear to be functioning again, now I'm hobbling due to pain and not because the tendons are offline. Thank you all...

Sorry if things are a little slow this month, my mental state is kinda all over the place right now. Last week I tripped on a curb and my foot landed sideways and I lost the use of some tendons. Hoping it doesn't need surgery. I now have a cute purple cane. Wish me luck!

So I remember drawing Jintu's room the first time and it was a nightmare so yes I intentionally changed some things that contributed to the original headache.
