What to Expect: August 2018

Hiya, folks! It's that time of month again where I tell you, well, what to expect this month. ;)

So, pending there isn't any major drop of funds once August rolls around (which should be now, by the time you're reading this), you will see Chapter 4 Pages 37-40! 

I made a last-minute check on the remaining Chapter 4 pages, and tweaked a couple lines that originally sounded awkward, and I made a last-minute revision of the ending. Because of this, Chapter 4 will end with Page 42, and ...

Chapter 2 Page 4 TOUCH-UP

We're not just improving the background stuff, either! Karolyne is also moving some bubbles around so you can see the characters better, and I think it will help improve the flow of the pages when they need them!

Welp, we will be back to Chapter 4 in August! It's gonna be fun to see people's reactions to the ending. XP

Chapter 2 Page 1 TOUCH-UP

As you can see, I didn't label this as a "remake" page, because, obviously, the page hasn't been remade from scratch. Instead, Karolyne and I want to basically touch-up this chapter as well as 3 and make sure they look more "complete".

This will greatly help give new readers a better first impression, going forward, and this isn't a George Lucas-esque job because the plot isn't being tweaked or anything. ;P

Tiny scheduling update!

Sorry I haven't been around; I've spent the past few days clearing stuff out of the house because of the 4th of July. X_X

Anyway, now that we've been finished with Chapter 1's remake, there are some people who are going to ask what the schedule will be, moving forward. As I've mentioned plenty of times throughout June, my plan is to "improve" upon the Chapters 2/3 pages (i.e. not have the backgrounds be a white sky, buildings/trees not look like they're cut and paste objects from an art progra...

Chapter 4 Page 36 FINAL

Last page for June! I had to fix a little text error, but otherwise, the page came out perfectly! :D

So, for July, Karolyne and I are going to go through some Chapter 2 pages and see what needs to be fixed up before we continue on with Chapter 4 in August. Hopefully it won't require her to remake the pages from the ground up, but I don't think there should be any form of style clashes. ;)

Yes, she finally pulls out the knife in the page. To the people on DA who's worried she'll get an infection for doing that, she'll be fine, people; you do remember werewolves heal fast, right? ;)

Also, her expression on that bottom panel's so adorable! That is all.

Can I just say I love Lydia's expressions on this page? I know I've said that with some of the earlier pages, but this one is gonna be hard to top!

So, as I've said at the end of the chapter 1 remake, I would like to keep the usual schedule where we have one month dedicated to new pages, while the next would be about improving older pages (in this case, fixing background and other unfinished-looking details on Chapters 2 and 3). 5th Anniversary Drawing PREVIEW

So, remember when I was posting all those Woody gifs/avatars? That was your only hint for this drawing, and you might be wondering "WTF does it have to do with the anniversary drawing?" 

When you're married to someone, your 5th Anniversary present has to be something made from wood, so that was the inspiration behind it! Everything is made from wood. :P

We're gonna add a little message above the logo:

"Thanks to our pecking awesome fans!"

So, one thing might change, and it's Sam and Simon getting down the roof via the ramp (instead of the drainage pipe). The ramp on the front entrance is part of KeyArena's architecture, and I would imagine it would make more sense to get off the roof that way. >>

Where should the Moonlit Brew Ask Me Anything (AMA) take place?!

As you might have heard on Twitter and DeviantArt, I'm wanting to host a AMA to commemorate the 5th Anniversary of Moonlit Brew!

The question I have is simple: Where should we have it? So far, two people have said they want it on DA, but I'd like to hear your feedback, as well!

You know that scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark (I think...)  where Indiana Jones got challenged to a swordfight, but instead of accepting it, he drew out a gun and shot the guy with the sword?

That's what was going through my head when I wrote this scene. XP

This part was pretty fun to write despite not being good with fight scene. You'll see why, soon enough. ;)

Chapter 1 Remake Page 31 FINAL

The text has finally been fixed! 

And with this, we are now at the end of the Chapter 1 Remake! I gotta say, I'm glad that I made it happen, even if it took a real long time to finish. I gotta play the long game with stuff like this, especially if I'm to find a publisher!

Chapter 1 Remake Page 31 Update

So, the reason I'm not calling this "FINAL" yet, is mainly the text. Simon's line got cut off, and since this is a young couple talking in the middle and bottom panels, I'm changing what the girl says on the middle panel, and both bubbles on the bottom.

I wanted to show this off mainly to show you folks it's almost done! 

Btw, the next page we're working on will be Chapter 4 Page 32!
