Gremlin/Gizmo Ears

Yes they are even pose-able due to three floral wire I have running through the foam ears at the top!

Gremlin boots

Been working super hard on the Gremlin.  Here is progress so far on the boots.  The idea for the boots is that the Gizmo part is going to be rolled down and over to show the fur on the boot lining.  Then to go into Gremain mod I just roll the fabric over my leg to reveal the scales striped boot.

I’ll make a video of it when I have it finished!

Gremlin Bikini

150+ handsewn scales later.....

Finished the base for the Gremlin bikini!  Only took way too long to make (longer than any of my other swimsuits actually and I am not even done yet!).

Covered myself in Saran Wrap + Duct Tape for Gizmo/Gremlin Swimsuit Pattern

Ever wonder what I do in my free time?  This!

In all seriousness - when it comes to making patterns for form fitted cosplays such as the Gremlin/Gizmos swimsuit I always wrap myself in saran wrap then in masking tape.  Then I get help having the pattern drawn on me in Sharpie.

Gremlin Booty (bikini bottom progress)

Yes it’s a small article of clothing but this little bikini bottom took DAYS for me to finish mostly because of the 100+ scales that I individually handsewn into the bottoms.

Kinda proud of how it looks.  Love  I added the yellow brown accent to represent the patterning on the Gremlin....

Another Costest and LEGS! Secret Cosplay

Getting a ton done.  Just about finished with the cosplay.

Some big progress that I've made...

- made the cloak (essentially its a giant rectangle of fabric

- added gems to leotard and headpiece

- ROBO LEGS!  AHH!

Just need to do finishing touches on the legs and then alter the leotard a bit then done!

Legs + Shoes for Secret Cosplay

ALMOST DONE WITH THE COSPLAY AHHH!!

I also did some work on the shoes...

For the shoes I made boot covers and shoe gooped it to the shoe.  Now for details <3

Makeup/Wig Costest - Secret Cosplay

Yeah I wore my regular Ruby rose yesterday... but I also decided to try on my newest wig before leaving to meet up with my friends!

When I was working on the wig - I have to admit that I was kinda scared that I wouldn't be able to make it look like Ruby because the wig was a different style compared to my original wig...

Although as soon as I got the red wefts in and cut the bangs in... put it on... I felt like a more mature Ruby!

Shortest Skirt Ever + Progress on Secret Cosplay

Guess this is kinda a costest (-minus the makeup and some of the other costume parts).  Been crunching super hard on this cosplay.

Things I got done.

- Gloves - used Yaya Han pattern to sew them

- Belt - essentially its silver fabric that I sewed around a leather belt.  The belt loop is a curtain holder thing (don't know the right word for it right now...) that I painted silver.

- A few more details on the leotard (gems printed and ready to be used ...

Leg Day - RTX Secret Project

Got a lot of progress to post for you guys over the next few days.  Lets start off with one of the pieces I'm most proud of right now... the legs.

These pieces are specifically the knee armor.  Its essentially craft foam covered in black worbla.  I've also used foam clay to help raise the side square things a bit more.  Also got a really nice sculpting tool to draw in a few details.

Think I am most impressed with how sharp I have some of the curved edges.

Secret Project Wig + Headpiece Progress

Can't wait till tomorrow morning to post this.  So I'm posting it now.

RWBY 3.0 wig and headpiece progress.  Kinda hard to see but the wig is long and in a low ponytail.  Spent 2 hours trying to get it styled to look like a mature Ruby.  Think I finally got it.

For those curious I used an Arda Luthien in Onyx with Vermillion wefts.

The cross piece is foam w/foam clay for shape.  Then covered in black worbla.  Currently priming it with modge podge befor...

Secret Project Progress - Top

Finally kinda recovered from being sick.  So have been working like crazy on RWBY 3.0

I decided to start with the leotard.  Essentially I bought the Yaya Han sewing pattern.  Altered it so that it had the same seam lines as the Dishwasher concept art for Ruby.  Then sewed it all together.

Thought I could finish this quickly but man does it have a lot of detail that is super hard to see....

I'M NOT EVEN DONE YET! *cries*...

Transforming Gremlins Cosplay Concept Designs/Ideas

I'm so excited to announce that I am currently building a transforming Gremlins swimsuit cosplay to wear at Colossalcon East this year.

The idea is to have it be both Gizmo and the Gremlin inspired.  Mostly based off the original Gremlins movie because of the more dark design.  Because its two characters - I am building it so it transforms quickly.
