I started using this technique on the mini, and as the video progressed, I used less and less water to achieve more and more detail.

But I kept talking about this speedpainting technique to get the basecoats down, taking a more artistic approach—since volumes and colors tend to blend more naturally into each other.

You're mixing the colors directly on your mini, not on your palette! :)
