Early Access: DCAU Supergirl Revisted

Savage Origin

$10 BTS Reward: Diana A

Sorry for not gettng this up last night!  Here's the step by step process for the new Diana Saez pinup that went up yesterday.

ABOVE: The four pinups are supposed to be part of a larger piece showcasing a classic Hulk out style transformation.  As Ms. Giant, Diana defaults to about twice her normal height  (but can grow up to 100 feet for limited periods of time).  I laid out all four steps on separate layers so I can make sure they'll all work as a cohere...

Shout Out to my Patrons Old and New

Hey, I just wanted to give a "woohoo!" to my awesome Patrons.  We're back up to 25 members which is great to see.  A special thanks to the folks who have joined up in the last week or boosted their pledges.  Please, whether you're a new pledge or have been with me since the beginning, don't be afraid to let me know what you think!  I'm in a really good productive phase right now and it's in large part due to you.

May 2019 PinUp A: Meet Diana

I ran behind on the April pinups featuring Leah but I have been working on the May series the last few weeks, and here's the first one!  You may remember TV reporter Diana Saez from earlier posts... now witness as she makes the stunning transformation to her super identity, Ms. Giant!  There will be four images that will be combined into a classic Hulk-style collage, but here's the first stage on its own!

For my $10--the making of the latest pinup.  Roughs above, cleaned up pencils below.  These phases were done in Autodesk Sketchbook, which thankfully added a perspective tool to its IOS version this week.  I used that for the rain this time around.

WIP: Leah April Showers Pinup 4

I’m hoping to knock this one off tonight. A phase I don’t sho often—after finishing the inks, I fill the whole area to be colored with a foundation before adding the flat colors on top.

Had a lot of drawing time today and worked on several projects, including the current round of pin-ups, the next round, two commissions, and the next comic sequence, pictured below. Autodesk Sketchbook finally added perspective guides to its iOS version, and you’ll see them put to use here.

Hi Res: Galaxy Girl Classic and Modern Design Tweaks

While drawing my recent Easter image of Lady Dove I realized my more recent design, Galaxy Girl, has pretty much the same boots.  Since LD had them first I decided to try some new designs for Galaxy Girl.  Above is her "current" costume--also attached is the "classic" look with the new boots.  In some ways it does make more sense For Lady Dove to have the white boots, but I have some reasoning behind giving them to GG instead.  What do you think?
