March Patron Pin-Up 1: Jenny Strolls
So going forward I'd like to have a few more perks for my patrons in the form of some exclusive or early access pinups. I'd like to do one or two for all the patrons, one for the $5 and ups, and one for the +$10s. Some months they may be related, some they may not. Thought I’d give you a little peak at what I’m planning next after Sandy’s Holiday. Some of you may remember my 80’s girl Dana. She’s going to be in a sequence that should cross off a major item in the TF artist bucket list. Still trying to settle on a color scheme, however. What do you think so far?

Detective Comics #1000 is out this month, and lots of artists I follow are doing their own images for variant and exclusive covers or just for fun. I thought I'd do my own tribute. Lettered version below. Turns out Batman was even crankier then than he is now--can you believe it?

Here's the second page with the rendering complete, but no added lighting effects. I realized working on this that I had forgotten Sandy's freckles on the first page! I need to go back and correct that!

Thought I'd share this with you... I've been adding an extra layer of lighting effect to this sequence. For those of you who are interested in how the colors look before that, here you go!

Finally we can being posting this sequence officially! $5 Patrons will get the lettered pages as they become available! $10 Patrons have been getting making of images all along, and those will keep coming as I continue to work on the sequence. Once it's done, I'll post a full PDF with the whole sequence together for all patrons, and upload hi-res, text free images for the $5 and up crowd. Enjoy, and let me know what you think!

WIP: Sandy’s Holiday 3 of 7 Flat colors and effects
Here’s two images— the flat colors, which include the skin color of the final monster, and then again with the extra layer added with the human skin in gradually decreasing opacity. The color on the skirt will be added in the background stage.

This WIP shots gives you a peek of the coloring process too. I lay down a foundation that I put the flat colors on top of it. In this case the skirt will be colored on the backdrop layer since it’s behind the stone ledge that serves as the background in this part of the sequence. Tight pencils on page 4 next!

We’re soon approaching the time when I can start posting the Sandy’s Holiday sequence I’ve been working on. The plan is post single pages as they’re completed to Patrons pledging $5 and up and then when it’s complete post it to all patrons. My question to is, which would you rather see first... the plain art, or the art with dialogue? Let me by commenting below!
