Man comic book style shading is hard to figure out. I know it involves lassos and airbrushes but beyond that? Seems like magic.

I meant to get this done last month but between not being able to figure out the pose, the setting, or the dress, and then accidentally overwriting the work files and losing half the progress, this one fought me every step of the way.

First rank in the poll was this one by a surprisingly wide margin. Sorry, it took way longer than expected because a bunch of stuff happened (including but not limited me crunching my fender), Yoshitaka Amano's logo art style being really difficult to emulate, and writing being hard. Also yeah, this one comes with a story.

...So basically 2/3rds of the way through remaking Triple Chair I started hating it and I couldn't figure out her color scheme and the revised pose I had in mind wasn't really anything. Then I couldn't decide on a background either until the idea of putting her in front of a graffiti wall, which of course mean having to draw some. But it helped inform her color scheme and design a bit more, and here we are.

Earlier in the month I came across an incredibly old drawing of mine in the wild. It's so old that I can't seem to find the original copy or file name, so I can't say what the concept was back then. But it stuck in my head enough that I decided it was worth revisiting.
At first I tried doing a direct 1 to 1 remake but then it wasn't really doing it for me so I decided to just take the basic elements of it and do something else...

I'm not dead. This was just a nightmare month when it came to finishing things and this one fought me every step of the way.
The good news is that it means I have 3-4 wips that are close to being done, so at least I'm going to start next year off better.
