L: where did that anger come from, in the first place?

D: I’d say my upbringing, my absentee father. The society we were living in as a whole. But really it was probably just me. I weaponized my insecurities and lashed out at those not being forced into the same mold as I was. I saw my privilege and the responsibilities that came with it as a curse. It never occurred to me, or I just didn’t care, that those without that privilege had it so much worse.

D: I’ll teach you, don’t worry. I run a training session every other day after breakfast. It never hurts to know how to protect yourself.

L: …have the Vultures made any headway?

D: no, we keep managing to push them back, thankfully. They are getting bolder with each try, though.

L: you’re worried.

D: how could I not be? Im in charge of everyone here, plus the town down by the sea. We don’t have the numbers to be able to defend both, we’ve just been lucky so...

L: no, of course not. I like cooking, actually. I’m just happy to be useful in some way. It’s not like I’ve ever had weapon training or anything.

C: Cedoc? That’s not a name I recognize. Unusual.

B: there’s nothing about that guy that normal, that’s for sure. But there’s no record of him or anyone else helping you here. The medical staff say they found you by the back door

C: is that so? Peculiar.

B: Do you remember anything? The soldiers you were with were…unable to give eye witness accounts before their passing.

C: theyre – damn those corvids. It’s always the best of us that get taken first. My memory is hazy…but I do remember a few things. The osprey that helped me, for one.

B: don’t get up. Youre in the hospital. A blast knocked you outta the sky. You’ve got some broken bones from the fall, internal bleeding and imbedded shrapnel. They’ve patched you up and you should make a complete recovery.

FINALLY got wifi to the new place (side note our central heating in controlled by wifi for some reason so we've also been freezing for 3 days lmao). Getting back to work today so page updates/everything else should resume:)
