I had a premise for this piece, the lion in the lore is a beast that fights against evil and brings good luck.
And this bokkuro is the opposite of that, this bokkuro was cursed with a bad omen, and bad things will happen to her.
The mark on her left cheek is a kanji for bad omen, bad luck, evil, and atrocity.
This will create a pretty cool contrast between the lion who fights evil and brings luck, now possessing this girl who has the worst of luck and evil is bound to her.
