The spiders crawled and swarmed on her body. Many Targeting where skin was exposed. Particularly her belly where the spiders seemed to enjoy occupying the most.

Lara took a hurried step backward, her boot catching on a protruding rock. She flailed, the artifact slipping from her grasp as she tumbled down the long dark cliff. As her body fells deeper, the darkness swallowed her body till the mother spider couldn't see her no longer.

Just then, a sense of unease prickled her skin. The hum grew louder. A mass shifted above, and Lara's eyes darted upwards. A human-sized spider—bulging and monstrous, its eyes locked onto her.

"The mother of all mothers," she muttered with a gulp.

Finally after being crowded by cold wet rock and spiders, Lara finally found the exit from the tight walls. It led to an open room with a long dropoff, farther than Lara's eyes could see. The ancient stone provided a bridge across the cliff and ends to the one thing she's been looking for, The artifact.

After a few moments, Lara squeezed through tight fissures, her petite frame making it possible to navigate pathways that would leave most adventurers stuck. She could feel small legs brushing against her skin, trying to crawl onto her body. A feeling she pushed to the back of her mind as she pressed on, determined to find the artifact. As Lara explored deeper in the cold tunnel, with the sound of constant whistling by the winds currents, passing through the rocks crevices, the walls started to be cluttered by thick cobwebs that obviously confirms that this part of the cave hasn't been touched for centuries. But Lara now questions why were the torches already lit before I got here?

Lara stops for a moment to prepare herself for whatever awaits in the shadows.

"Well I've made it this far, can't turn back now." She sighed but after taking a deep breath, she entered the mouth of the tunnel

Lara reaches the end of the bridge, the lit torches led her to an entrance to a tunnel. The mouth of the entryway was wide  and rather intimidating. The further Lara examined the throat of the tunnel, the more narrow it becomes.

As she ventured deeper into the cave, she barely noticed the skittering sounds that echoed in the shadows, almost hidden beneath the sound of her own footsteps. Past the rounded stone center was a stone bridge, modest yet sturdy, with intricately carved pillars that held ancient torches. The flames of the torches flickered hypnotically, casting long shadows that seemed to dance to an inaudible, ancient melody. When her boots finally hit solid ground, she winced, withdrawing a glowstick. The blue beam sliced through the darkness, reflecting off clammy cave walls adorned with enigmatic symbols.

The inside of the cave was damp and cool, a stark contrast to the humid jungle outside. The air was thick with the musty scent of decay and mold.

A few local guides had pointed her towards an area far off the beaten path. She pushed aside hanging vines and trudged through knee-high ferns, hardly noticing the sweat trickling down her forehead. After what felt like an eternity of searching, she stumbled across a hole in the ground obscured by overgrown foliage.
