Infestation Preview

This should have taken me 3 days but ended up taking 4 mostly due to a certain little puppers who has way too much energy AND I made tweaks to the x-ray model. So I guess timing wise it took roughly 3 standard days to get this out from no animation to finalized with sound, w/o sound 1.5 to 2.

The scene is about half way through one of the girls arcs, if you can call them that, where she is currently waiting for her aphrodi-tech to recharge.

Results of internal test. Not at all finished but I thought I'd share with you guys how it looks so far.

In SFM rendering 1 high intensity scene in BH could take about 8 hours.
Blender can take a whole 24 hours. Albeit with better quality.

Bridge WIP

So here are more screens of the bridge, one of the locations which will take place in Infestation. The general theming is that the captain of the ship would spend most of his or her time here, so its a bit more cozy and low-level than the rest of the ship. I'm going to add clutter like bottles, trash, books etc to make it feel more lived in, but first I still have to apply textures to. . .everything.

Once I'm done here I still need to make the Hydroponics area of the ship for the crew...

This one was. Quite interesting to do since I'm actually really bad at drawing hands. And, with facehuggers being two hands welded together, it proved to be a bit of a challenge. However I think in the end it came out well!

First commission

Hey guys, just letting you all know that the facehugger anim is finished and uploaded!

This was my first ever commissioned animation so I'm really hoping it pleases on all fronts. The facehugger models actually fought me a lot during the animation process and I've learned a bunch from this animation, things I can take with me to Infestation and Bughunt 2.

Infestation and Commission

Here you see three of the locations that will be in Infestation, which are medical, the engine room, and the showers. Its all still WIP but this has the main theme applied. Also, remember that facehugger commission I mentioned earlier? Here are some screens of it! Expect it within a week or so!

Question on lighting.

Longer version than the one on twitter, but real talk. I know I can get a bit crazy with my colors and, I know Alien has a color theme totally opposite of. . .that. So, I wanted to ask ya'll what you thought.

Welcome!

Firstly, I'm currently working on a commission that I just know all of you are going to enjoy, its my first ever animated one, and its got to do with xenomorphs, specifically facehuggers. There is also an entirely unrelated facehugger image coming down the line as well.

Secondly, I've started porting over a bunch of models from Alien Isolation...

This still needs waaay more work, I plan on having a lot of hive-stuff everywhere, but I thought the idea of a window, looking out at space/a planet was rather new and an interesting take on a  xenomorph lair.

Traditionally they are hidden far away from anything else. Hiding in the darkness.

I really want to make these next animations shine so I'm redoing some models to give them the extra mile of detail I had in mind originally.

I firstly want to apologize to all of you, my wonderfuly amazing supporters here on Patreon about the lack of constant uploads. I know I used to be hella fast when it came to some projects. I've since lost that touch due to work and school and finding love.

Well now that my job is out of the picture, and school is behind me, I can move much, much faster on animations.

Infestation is running forward full steam ahead now, and, for the time being, there will not be any votes for other smaller animations. I have absolutely no fuckin idea how long it will take or how long it will be, though most likely it will be on the 10 minute mark without credits or intro.

Long hours and long dongs

 So instead of the long "my life is so crazy/hard/busy right now" post that almost every content  creator does I'm just going to keep this really simple. I'm working essentially double shifts now at my job for the next week or two. Its exhausting but better than my last job by a country mile, so I have little energy for anything other than eating/yelling at my cat to get the fuck off the Ch...

Professor sadness visited me today

Facehugger anim, cut dramatically short due to model being irreparably broken, you can even see the stiff neck in the middle webm. I'm not too sure WHY it happened, I just opened the file and the eyes went to visit the sun, and the head was in full scale passive aggressive rebellion.

I'll look into what caused it and hopefully it won't happen again. I will say this, never really had this issue with SFM. . .
