i did it!

I figured out how to mix the glow shaders with normal shaders. so now the ambience of the environment will reflect off her arms and legs. even her nose has a bit of reflections now too.

Didnt think id be able to. I think im almost done really. is just gonna be alot of refining now.

Finally figured out how to just paint on the glow, thanks to some help.

I think it looks brilliant. only issue with it is that the parts of her that dont glow arent able to be affected by light. so if shes standing in a blue room it will seem off, cause usually id make her arms shift toward blue aswell as nose and give the glow a slightly different colour. if anyone knows a solution thatd be great. my current one is to paint different version of the texture depending on the environment<...

Im getting ahead of myself with animations. still lots of work to do on the model but  3d animating is way more fun than 2d

Mylar model Glow testing

My first attempt at making her glow, turned out better than expected actually. I have only coloured individual faces so it looks a bit minecrafty but i think i can actually do this. I do want to figure out how to have it sort of change as the camera moves around her though. specifically for the arms and legs. Every where else pretty much has baked in lighting.

Also figure out how to make the outline not appear on her hands and feet. no idea how i can do that

Drawing is hard right now, but somehow i can use blender all day with out stopping.  Which is what I used to do with drawing. I hope i can start doing that again soon, cause i just cant the moment.

I dont really want to be a 3D artist. I think it would be cool to do it a bit and make some stuff occaisionally but it will never be my main focus. It is fun though
