10/09/20 Update- Happy Friday! I'm getting really into pursuing a distinctly 70s kinda palette for this one and I feel like with this rusty orange and greenish yellow ochre I'm getting close to something. It feels autumnal and juuuust far enough away from reality that I don't have to think twice about if that yellow is green enough for grass or not. It merits further exploration. :)

Now that Mile Hylian Club is complete, it's time to move onto the next hiker comic, but before that happens I need to take a liiiiiittle breather so I'm going to get my shit together in September and clean out some freelance work so I can come back with a bang in October! Happy Saturday! I had the great pleasure of doing a little "artist lecture" of sorts for the fine folks of Lewdschool this morning, talking about my comics and whatnot and what started as just a little demo drawing I had trouble putting down and I ended up refining it into another Gibson girl pinup!

Happy Sunday everyone! I wanted to share the newly finished Paya X Link cover art! I haven't really been able to try putting a bunch of effort into a single piece in a while so I've been tinkering with this all week and even made some alternate versions, which I hope you enjoy!

Happy Friday!! Thank you all so much for the suggestions, I love them all and I'll do my best to execute as many as possible.
For now I'm just going to explore in the process I know best which is just to doodle them and see what comes out of it. I'm also going to use this as an opportunity to play with some different color palettes and see if I can't find a fresh look for this comic.
I sure hope nobody's offended if I blend some of them together! :) I think I'll be just scribbling...

08/20/20 - Cover art update. Not quite sure on this yet, but I don't often share WIP updates, so here it is!

This first one is a bit of re-imagining of an older hiker pinup I did. Lately it's been fun to try different looks and techniques on some older works. There's just this certain feeling to the light in the evening in late summer I really love so I wanted to try to add that in since it's not at all a part of the original sketch which I've attached!

Just for ease of reading I'm adding this update in a chunk to include the old pages.
Art thoughts: Wow, revisiting old projects is hard. There's a lot of mental energy required in trying to pick up something you've tried to not think about in a long time, but I think it's a good thing to try to get past.
Because I make really sloppy thumbnails and I had only thumbnailed this chapter previously, revisiting it basically meant re-thumbnailing because I couldn't read my own ...

I know normally my thumbnails are suuuper unreadable, so I color coded the two figures this time. I've got a tight little story right now at about 12 pages involving a cucco chase and a paraglider, because this one needs to be silly.

What a month! Thanks so much for supporting my work this month as I finally wrapped up this comic! Can't wait to get started on new things in July! EDIT 06/30: I've added a couple more images from the process inks/flats. I wasn't able to spread this process out quite like I wanted because June totally got away from me. In order to keep tho keep the look authentic to the whole Edmund Dulac style I kinda crushed down the value range from where the actual layers are with my post processing technique. I added a bit more info below about the typography/logo treatment!
