Even though I've been making my way through the comic I keep trying to refine simplify the faun's character design.
To help with that I've been drawing her with different brushes/tools to see if that changes the way I approach it and hopefully to find out what are the most important things about her design to focus on to help her feel consistently on-model even if she's really not. This was a sketch from a bit ago that I wasn't fully satisfied with, so I gave it a little bit more love.
I kinda like this pale green as a highlight color on top of the flesh tone, it feels crazy bright through color contrast. I think the 70s stuff is going to keep going with me for a little while longer, it suits Daisy but also suits the color palette this month.

I had some stupid idea that I would be showing my "bias" toward certain CYOA options if I offered my thought process about this project or spoil stuff, but that's...stupid. Since the last poll lead us in the direction of needing to invent a tentacle monter, I thought I'd share some design sketches thoughts about the process as well as the roughs for the next update!

In the past I've always adopted a "fix it in post" philosophy when it comes to making comics. I don't count things as done until they're totally done and I can come back around and change things if I've figured out how to make it better down the line. It really helps squash the perfectionism...

Happy Monday!! This was just a little one-off drawing exploring the theme and art style for the satyr comic while everyone was voting last week so this does not reflect the voting results exactly.
BUT the results are IN and the second image shows our CHOSEN PAIRING 🎉 :D Satyr D won by a hefty margin but it was a tighter race with the leading male character as Swordsman C.
