I'm still hard at work on getting all Libby & Holly Ch3 colored (I'm over halfway through now why oh why did I leave this to the end 😭) but I've taken some time off in the evenings to doodle things using my December palette.

I feel like there's an implicit expectation that all of an artists' work is exclusively their own and part of my brain believes this to be true, while rationally I know that many if not all of my favorite created works involve a team.

More November Drawings

I am being steamrolled by this month 😩 Really haven't been able to focus very much on the big project goals, I'm sorry to say.

Between travel and...more travel for the holidays I've been struggling to make progress on anything that isn't the kind of small portable sketch stuff you see here, I'm hoping that I get a nice clean reset in December and can move forward all the same and make up for the lost time.

November witch sketch + animation, libby & holly animation stuff

I accumulated a few sketches over the past week and I've combined them here. I think there's something in the sketches I'm going to try to refine.

I also have been experimenting with how much I can accomplish with just 3 frames of animation. A little bit of further exploration of the witches, a little bit of just wanting to draw Libby & Holly fooling around while I'm still working on finishing up the coloring 😅

Witch things, continued

Sorry about hte radio silence everyone! I took a week to visit NYC for the first time and I just got back yesterday :) It wasn't exactly an unplanned trip, but what was unplanne was how little time I ended up having to post anything while I was away.

As a result, I am behind where I hoped to be, but I have a lot of nearly complete things I'm going to be polishing up and sharing because the trip was full of inspiration and I'm eager to get back to work.

I watched Look Back this week and it's suuuuuch a beautiful film, I've decided I have to seek out the rest of that director's work because I really love the sensibilities. CYOA sketches: Yes I briefly drew the goblin with tig ol bitties as well, which was fun but ultimately I appreciate the challenge of making her petite frame look really strongly built. I've been looking at a lot of power lifters for reference.

CYOA:The Orc and the Tower Pt 16

The scent of the blossoms around you seems suddenly stronger, as if you’ve finally been saturated in the aroma. It makes you feel simultaneously lighter and heavier, like slipping into a pool of warm oil. You idly wonder if the garden sprites seem larger than before.

One of the friendlier sprites gives you a gift of sweet nectar to drink, it tastes of sun-ripened melonfruit from the Engorgian fields.
