Call me naive, but when I started posting early access chapters for Book 5 here on Patreon, I never thought I'd have to make this announcement. I assumed Book 5 would be out by now! Sadly, as many of you choicegame fans already know, the publishing queue and wait times for releases has been getting longer and longer.

The nice thing about MCscript, even though it's a bit messy, is that it lets you guys get a look under the hood to see all the if/else statements you wouldn't otherwise notice. In the case of the text inputs, you get to see all the synonyms and misspellings I account for.

Were you able to guess who it was? As far as mysteries go, it wasn't a very big one: and that's fine. I think it's important for there to be a mystery aspect to every story, even if it's just for a chapter or two like this one was. Book 4 had the third student of Sensei's to find, after all, and I think that bit of intrigue really adds a lot to a story regardless of genre.
