I recently played through a game called "Tunic," it was honestly one of the most magical experiences i've had with a game (that wasn’t Kirby) in a long time. I've kinda been obsessed with it for the last few days, looking for all the secrets, environmental storytelling, even learned a few speedrunning tricks when going through NG+.

A bit of a pick-me up

I’ve been feeling pretty down lately if you couldn’t tell, but I’ve started to feel a lot better recently. Yesterday was my birthday, so I was busy enjoying that, but throughout the day I did find time to work on this. Cookie has always been there with me at my lowest points, and with recent experiences it just felt nice to draw them again.

Boaroton Chapter 2

I would’ve had this done sooner, but I was unexpectedly busy near the beginning of June, i'm fine now though. 

My favorite thing about making this chapter was allowing Boaroton to be "cool" for lack of a better term, since I haven’t really shown him at his best in some more recent art i've made with him. But yeah, the "One-man crew" isn't all talk. 

I also think it's funny that I ended up giving a dumb visual gag an actual payoff due to the "seat-of-my-pants" writing...

The future of Cookie books

So, volume 2 of Cookie has just released, and that's great, but it's probably going to be the last Cookie book for a long time. I don't suddenly hate the Cookie series or anything, but I've come to the ground-breaking realization that...!!!!!!

Cookie Takeshi Volume 2

As the Treat-landers go about their lives, things only seem to be getting stranger…

From power hungry princes and tyrannical bakers, to the occasional competition in between, they’ve got a lot of memories to make and problems to deal with this time around.

Race to Win - King Buttercup (on a whim) decides to host a foot race for the Treat-landers, though the usage of bombs, ditches, and magic spells will ensure that this isn’t a fair race for anyone.

Delicate fabric

They were tasked with fighting off a group of mole-lions, pretty ravenous demons. While they were successful in their battle, everyone’s clothing had been torn apart by the beasts sharp claws and fangs.

Slash got the worst of it though.

Doggy’s introductory chapter is actually pretty close, like 3 chapters away I think? And honestly I’m just ready to do some more things with Cupcake so that she doesn’t just appear to be “girl cookie,” but there’s still a few chapters to go before that happens. And Danny!!!! Love him mwah

First Star Chapter 1 complete

Hard to believe that I started working on this in July, though I guess I have been pretty on-and-off with it since then. I'm just glad that, after 11 years, First Star has officially started. Probably the longest amount of time a project of mine has been in the concept and pre-production stage, it just kept getting rewritten, scraped, and revived, but that's a story for some other time.

For a combat heavy character i surprisingly hadn’t drawn clothing damaged yet, until now anyway. I’m sure he’ll undergo some kind of clothing damage in the actual comic, but we’re only one chapter in so far.

Been really missing them lately since I’ve been working on other stuff, though I have found the time to draw them here and there, like with the Star Wars day drawing, or the TOTK comics for example. I realllly want to get started on volume 3 though, but I promised myself I wouldn’t start book 3 until Cookie 2 gets released.

New artwork featured in an ad for the Dr.Badger web-series airing this august. The Japanese “badger” text overlayed on him seems to be in reference to the shirt he wore in “Lovely Night Out” so it’s pretty likely that that’ll be one of the adapted comics.
