Whohoo! Time for a holiday bonus! Since this is a bonus update, it's not particularly large, only about 3,600 words. But hey, bonus content is bonus content and it actually pushes the Eridium Dreams story just far enough forward that everyone can see how massively off the rails it is from canon. Despite its size, I contains one heck of a plot twist. So give it a shot if you're a Mass Effect fan at all ;-).

*Edit* Somehow the chapter counting in the master file got screwed up. Effectively, this is actually Chapters 40-42. I'll be changing the master file to be fixed, but I'm not going to fix it here, since that would just cause confusion I think. It doesn't actually make any difference to the story, just the chapter numbers if you happen to be coming over from Ao3.
