The first image is the chosen cover design, but the next two were my initial drawings.
The first rejected drawing, with all three of them lying down, was based on harlequin romance novels, the kind where you were see painted images based on Fabio Lanzoni tenderly holding a woman. But the image felt cramped with no real focus.

It's always scary to switch to a new project because there's always a sizeable chunk of the audience that has no patience for it and will run off.
But I've been drawing these characters for about a year and a half and I just need something a little different to keep me going.

Had Loona give some further clarification that this date was meant for all three of them. It's more fun that way.
Some slight changes to Loona's paws, making them more narrow and compact, and a little cuter.
So it should be obvious by now that the second half of the comic will take place on this date. Wonder what'll happen?

It was at this point I realized that I kept writing scenes of Loona going into the bathroom. It's an easy place to escape to and think for awhile, so I was relying on it too much. When I wrote this scene, I was initially tempted to obviously follow Loona with the next step of cleaning herself, but realized it was pointless. I merely had her point out how frustrating it is that she keeps getting messy.

P4: Millie rushes up to Loona and Moxxie. We see that Blitzo has entered his ofice.

All she had to do was sit still for a few minutes and it would've been fine.
Though, this scene is important, because it sets up what happens in the second half of the chapter, which is something that I've been planning since the very first page of the first comic.
