I’ve always loved Betty Bee. Few things are hotter in the tickling world (in my humble opinion) than a hard-nosed reporter investigating tickling gangsters…who happens to have a crippling weakness for being tickle tortured.

If you think about it, at its core, VAMP RECORDS has always been a love story. The relationship between Val and Crystal is messy. Complicated. It evolves. Kind of slithers along in serpentine awkwardness. As I think about how Val and her story might enter a new chapter, I do not have a lot of details. Val’s relationship with Shelly always kind of cracked me up as well. They seem like such unlikely friends. So different. It’s what made their relationship work for me. That they made no sense. It was kind of sweet.

Working on a series, you are always keeping your eyes out for a new breakout character. VAMP RECORDS has a small cast, but Bobbie really seemed to stand out from the first moment she showed up with that tan skin, impossibly blonde hair, and bodacious bod. I don’t know what the future has in store for her. But I can almost guarantee you that she has a part left to play in our journey together.

I think this is pretty common, but when I color my inks I always start by laying in a base layer of color across the entire page. Once the entire page has the base colors then….AND ONLY THEN…do I start to shade and highlight everything.
