I found out about another game project that's in my wheelhouse, wandered into their discord, and now might be doing some writing for them. I'll post more details on that as things are finalised. ROOM 182: LICH QUEEN
I've overrun by one day, but never mind. Can't have the player leaving a region without a boss fight.
Once the player places the last plate in the correct position, a mechanism will click, indicating the main gate is now unlocked.
However, as soon as they've made it back to the main gate, they will find the LICH QUEEN waiting for them. She's very unhappy about her treasure being stolen and is here to get it back.

The first half of the week I carried on working on the new House of Hellish Harlots proof-of-concept display. Here is the new HoHH graphics demo I've been playing around with.
The main addition is completely customising the player UI to remove the UI bar on the left of the screen and replace it with a small control panel.
The demo is just a proof-of-concept. It only has a single scenario (Sapoonis) and snippets to represent each NPC and their location within the House.

ROOM 175: GRAVEYARD (PATH TO EXIT GATE)
The player can walk down the path to the main exit gate without being accosted. While walking they'll see the sexy spectral forms of various GHOST GIRLs drifting between the tombstones. ROOM 168: TOMB PALACE (SECRET ENTRANCE)
The VAMPIRESS NPC takes the player down a hidden path and unlocks a secret entrance. Through a series of narrow vents, this leads the player into the heart of the tomb palace and they come out on a balcony above a large hall of impressive treasures.

Update is a little late today as I was travelling back home.

A very quick update as I'm about to head off on a trip for the day.
The week was a little fractured thanks to a nuisance cough lingering for far longer than I'd like. As with most of the month, I kept things ticking over when I could.
Eve Satana is now implemented and fully tested. I've prepared her release and she's ready to go for the end of June.

ROOM 147: WOODS (SYLVAN THEATRE ENTRANCE)
Paths through the wood also bend towards the impressive Sylvan Theatre in the upper left corner of the park. Originally there used to be an entrance here. Multiple entrances even. Currently I feel like I'm in one of those old Hammer horror films where some construction crew accidentally breaks a forbidden seal and subjects the nearest village to a curse of endless plagues. A frustrating week. I came back from my break, got the usual admin stuff done at the start of the month, and then got knocked on my ass with another flu-type bug.

One of my ongoing background projects is to take the old H-space bestiary shorts I wrote a few years back and beef them up into proper short stories. Here's the latest.
This was originally the Venus Mantrap story. I fleshed out the background to explain how the soldiers got there and also to try and build up the classic "Green Hell" jungle atmosphere.
