There are two ways to do this.
The player collects enough gold from the surrounding alleys and pays the entrance fee. They go up to the front entrance, are admitted and pay the entrance fee to a scantily-dressed but stern-looking bunny girl behind a metal grille. They are then escorted through into the main games room.

WARREN BACK ALLEY (SLEEPING BUNNY GIRL)
The narrow alley expands out at into a slightly wider dead end. It looks like a tip with rubbish and other detritus everywhere. You see a dirty stained mattress and wonder with revulsion if some of the RATGIRLs take their clients back here.

This narrow and claustrophobic alley seems empty at first. Then a bundle of rags hunched up by a wall holds out a hand and asks for money.
This is an NPC beggar. He's meant to look like an NPC the player gives gold to for info and clues. However, he only talks gibberish and the cryptic clues he imparts are useless or misleading. Not all kindness is rewarded in Ur-Carnosa!

This is slightly early, I know.
As I've been mentioning in update posts, I've been running into problems with the Twine Editor lagging and timing out because the HoHH project has grown too large and unwieldy. I've been looking into Tweego as a fix for this.
It's a little fiddly, requiring some mucking around with the command line prompt (boomer Computer Science studies actually quite useful here).

A stop/start week.
1st draft writing stalled hard so I decided to treat most of the week as a break to get some IRL stuff done and recharge batteries. I'm hoping that's done the trick.
