A weirdly plodding week.  It was one where I kept chipping away at a slowish pace and then suddenly realised the end of the month was looming and I needed to get a move on.

I'm now in the usual end-of month frenzy mode.

There were a few distractions this week as I had some other writing work (of the not sexy succubus smut type) to get done.

I had a bunch of things all pile up together.  I nearly made the usual mistake of trying to do too many things at once and lock up, but managed to dodge that.  Maybe I'm finally learning!

I do try to hit the start of the next month running, but it always ends up being a little chaotic.

Update 1st...uh...2nd May '22

Slightly late update.  I was out last night and had a beer or six.  Luckily, it's an update after a release, and those are normally short as the details are in the release.

v0.031 of HoHH went out okay, I hope.  The week was a little frenetic, but I wanted 3 harlot scenarios this month, and it was one of those times when I stamped on the gas and went vroom.

Update 24th Apr '22

After a couple of weeks disrupted by Covid and other things, it was nice to have a good week.

The Black Latex Milkmaid now has a name - Llefrith SWMP-08 - and is mostly implemented.  Needs testing and a few minor things checked, but is otherwise done.

The Huntress + Feral Spumpire scenario has just over 5K words typed up.  There is a lot to that scenario and I'm hoping people will enjoy it.

This week was pretty much wrecked by Covid.

I said last week I had something like flu, but I didn't think it was Covid.  Well, that turned out to be wrong.  It was Covid.  Thankfully, it didn't really get much worse than regular flu and I think I'm mostly over it now.

For the most part I took it easy and kept chugging away on HoHH when I could.

A slightly mixed start to the month.  I was away for a day or so in the middle of the week and then got knocked on my ass by a flu-type bug at the end of it.  I still have a sense of taste, so I don't think it's Covid, thankfully, but I haven't been able to do much but mope in bed.

Despite being mostly away this weekend, I appear to be getting back into a rhythm again.

Typing up seems to be the slow step at the moment.  I still managed to type up around 2.5K words on the White Latex Milkmaids scenario.  That scenario is a little strange and lengthy, so I estimate that's about half of it.

Just kidding.  I completed it early in the week.  Playtime over.  A nice break.

Productivity is still a little scratchy, but I feel like I'm slowly getting back in the groove.  Finishing typing up Sasori Oiran still took a little longer than I was hoping.  The 1st draft was a little rough and needed some tidying up.  That is now finally ready for me to start implementing.

That Elden Ring game is a little massive...

I think I'm near the end of it.  This generally happens every time From Software puts a new game out.  I didn't expect this one to be quite as huge as it is.  In the past I've found the best approach is to no-life the hot game until it's out of my system.  Then I usually have my fill of gaming for a while and can concentrate fully on writing again.

No update this week.  Been using Elden Ring for that full battery recharge I felt I needed.

Seems to be doing the trick.  Just needed a clean break to take the pressure off I reckon.  Normal service should be resumed next week.

Drawing a line under February and moving on

It wasn't the best.

It happens unfortunately.  I get behind, so mentally turn a screw to try and speed up.  Sometimes that kicks me into high gear and I hit the arbitrary deadline.  Other times I get stressed out, lock up and nothing gets done.

Definitely locked up at the moment.  The best approach is to stop stressing out, chill a bit and refocus.  It does break the long string of regular monthly releases, but I'd rather skip a month and get a proper sol...

Another shitty week unfortunately.  At this point I'm tempted to write February off completely as one of those months where things didn't come together at all.

I do have most of Sasori Oiran's scenario typed up and she's a fairly straightforward scenario, so I think I'll try to salvage something and get her out tomorrow or Tuesday.

This one is short.  I had some problems at the start of the week and realising my productivity had drifted into a low ebb, decided to take the week off for a full break and recharge.

This would happen on the week I get some new patrons, so not exactly the best way to make a good first impression!

More steady progress.  Work on Epicratea (the Ebony Succubus) has been a little stop-start, but I've been able to write a good chunk of the Huntress + Feral Spumpire scenario.  I like how that is coming along.  Again, it's breaking my original rules for scenario complexity, but it will give players a few choices rather than just a hidden stat check to determine Good or Bad End.  It should be a fair bit of fun to play, hopefully, and I'll look to add her to the options for ...
