More work on harlot scenarios this week.  It was a little stop-start.  A family thing came up and that had my attention for a while.

I feel like I'm getting back to normal again with the new computer.

The first half of the week was spent updating the public houseofhellishharlots.com website.  WebDev is not one of my strengths, so that was a battle and the site itself doesn't look very enticing at the moment, being plain text.  I think I'll have to set aside an hour or so a day to keep fiddling with it until it looks more presentable.

November '21 Plans

November plans are a little open-ended at the moment.  The main priority for the "House of Hellish Harlots" project at the moment is to pump up the harlot numbers and start filling out the factions.

Update 24th October '21

A short update this week. The technical problems that have been bedeviling my laptop for the past month finally precipitated to it becoming unusable.

Nothing to panic about.  Aside from it catching me out with the crash last month, I've been aware it's on its last legs, so everything that needed to be backed up to an external hard drive has been.  I have a new one ordered and on the way.

I took that as a sign to take a few days off and recharge, so not much progress over...

Update 17th October

Up and down week.

In the first half I put out the v0.025 release of House of Hellish Harlots.  This is an interim, mid-month release that adds the missing cures for Lips Fetish and other ailments, as well as fixing some bugs with the tweaked selection algorithms.

I haven't heard any complaints of bugs, so I'm hoping that version is stable.  Next week I'll look to update the public site and see if I can do a little more promo to bring it to people's attention.

This is a mid-month bugfix release, so no new harlots (they'll be in the regular end-of-month release).

NEW NURSE HONEY AILMENT CURES
Nurse Honey can now cure Lips, Ass, Foot and Leg Fetish.  Of those, only Lips Fetish is relevant, but it should stop me from getting tripped up again once I add harlots capable of causing the others in the future.

A slightly chaotic week.

I recovered from the crash and put out version 0.024 of House of Hellish Harlots.  Unfortunately, I forgot I hadn't implemented some of Nurse Honey's ailment cures, which means Osculia Suffocati is currently a little more dangerous than she should be.

I spent part of the week working on an interim mid-month v0.025 release which adds the missing ailment cures, more tutorial advice from the Barman (harlot strength tiers) and any bug fixes needed for v0....

October '21 Plans

With HoHH v0.24 out (finally!), it's time to post plans for the next month.  I think this is probably going to be a messy month.  It's also going to be a short month, but thankfully not as short as I feared it would be, thanks to having to redo the work lost in the Twine crash.

House of Hellish Harlots v0.024 (to be new public demo)

I was able to recover from the computer crash mishap a little faster than I was anticipating.  This means "House of Hellish Harlots" ver0.024 is now ready for release.

This is what I'm hoping will be the new public demo.  It covers the first 5 rounds and ends after the first 'special' round.  I'm going to release it here first to check there aren't any obvious bugs, and then put it up on the public website in a week or so.

As you saw from my last post, this was a messed up week.  In the middle of finishing off the implementation for Osculia Suffocati's repeat scenario, the last thing before getting the v0.024 release ready, my computer crashed and corrupted the main Twine story file.  The last backup I had was from September 9th, so that was a lot of changes lost.  As a result, I didn't have a release at the end of the month as usual.

As seen with the last couple of posts, it's been a slightly chaotic week while I narrow down on the right set of priorities.  Thankfully, it's been good chaotic rather than bad chaotic as I have a plan and goals for the end of the month.

Course Correction for HoHH: Ending vs Checkpoints

Don't be put off by the title.  I'm not going Chaos and veering off in a completely new direction.

Feedback from the public demo and subsequent releases on Patreon has identified some common complaints.

1) Repetition on restarts.
2) A new player getting unlucky RNG and a 1st selection of harlots they cannot survive.
3) Lack of any kind of ending point.

Quick Update on New HoHH Public Demo Release

I'm going to push this back a week or two and put out a mid-month interim v0.024 release.  This won't add any new harlots or sexy stuff, but it will fix some of the bugs patrons have pointed out and also add some fixes/features I want in a stable release version.

That was a little frenetic.  I wasn't sure I'd have Pori ready as her scenario came in at 7,000 words when typed up.  The last two days were rather busy!

Version 0.023 adds two new smotherbuses and a cuddly creation of The Doctoress that can be rather absorbing.  It also adds an accelerated start option that skips the intro.

More of a patchwork week than I would have liked.  Some IRL stuff came up.  I was also contacted by another erotica site interested in putting up some of my stories, but I ran afoul of their ToS, so currently trying to hash out what is and isn't acceptable.

I'm currently a bit behind on email and messages, so will hope to catch up on them next week.
