Many apologies for the lateness of the Prop Closet tour video! So many of my props were still being used for the backdrop of the Mossdrop Tea Shop, I wanted to wait until that video was finished and I could return all of the items back to their spots, so that the tour wouldn't be of a half-empty closet. Soft Spoken Announcement: Reward Tier Change

Mossdrop Ambiance Preview

Normally I create the soundscape after filming the video, but I’m still waiting for props to arrive, and couldn’t wait to work on the ~ambiance.~ Here it is so far! 

To do this, I usually use a combination of sounds from freesound.org (free, obviously!), ambient-mixer.com, (not free :/, $5 for a 15 minute clip of 8 sounds you get to choose & mix), and foley that I record myself. Incompetech is my favorite for free music. :)

Prop Shopping!

I made this little collage of the items I've purchased for the Mossdrop tea shop! I hope this will give you guys an idea of the sort of feel I'm hoping the shop will have. I'm imagining it as a warm, rustic spot, with sweet & spicy scents whirling about, intricately carved wooden tables and tree stump stools, bushels of fragrant dried blossoms and herbs decorating the walls, jars of all sizes filled with loose teas of all colors. Lil Update

Some progress on figuring out the look of the Yuletide shopkeep... thanks for your suggestions on the wig. For those of you who preferred the other one, I’ll definitely be using it for another character in the future! As for the menagerie video, it’s almost finished, but I’m still struggling to figure out how I’ll execute a few strange foley bits. Let’s go with...it’ll be up tomorrow night?

Shot List

I’m not sure if this will be of any interest, but I wanted to give you guys a behind the scenes look at my post-filming process. After I finish editing the initial footage, I go through and make notes of all the extra audio and visual clips I want to film and add in. Blue= camera shot, Red= foley shot (most of them), Green=voice shot. Now I just need to create and film each one, and edit them all in! :)

Halloween Haberdashery

I was hoping to complete all the filming for the Halloween video before leaving town on Saturday, but unfortunately I ran out of time and wasn’t able to film the Inn portion.
