patreon devlog update 59: mirror mirror

heyo peeps! while rick and al are on the three introductory minigmaes , this week i've tried to finish the assets for the mirror maze puzzle.

After andy's reflections and the general background were done all that was left to do was the grid on wich andy will have to move to reach the end of the maze (of course had to animate a bit the entry and exit points.)

not much to show about fenris high this week

banana inquiry is having some trouble with some nasty bugs  so not much on the front of programming, and i kind of overestimated how long it would take to make a whole set of walking cycles for george ( i mostly blame his kilt's pattern). So yeah, all i could manage to do is finish that this week.

Patreon devlog update 58: through the looking glass

now that most of the assets for the initial minigames are done, i decided it might come in handy to work for stuff that we're still deciding on.  We do know there'll be a mirror maze puzzle with evil shades of andy chasing after him, yet we don't know the specifics of said puzzle. But we do know the doppelgangers will be there, so i started animating a walk cycle for each:

ehh...what's new, at this point. Apologies, but the comic's pressure is getting a bit intense and i think it would be beneficial for everyone if i took a week off every two updates on the regular. 

speaking of wich, another thing that would help immensely would be how the comments are given. I enjoy a lot reading the complex descriptions that almost read like storyes in the comments, but in terms of using them to create a unified narrative, it's a bit much.

yeaah... seems like i'm kind of runnign out of things to draw for z&a again. Now that the assets for the minigames are done and a lot of other stuff is already drawn and animated all that's left for me to do is wait for more of the finalized storyline to be done, and that seems to be taking a bit. I might have to stop with z&a updates again to let the code & writing to catch up , in wich case i might do something else on thursday, but i still haven't decided what yet.

eh, what can you do, there are times in developing a game where you don't have things that are particularly interesting or new to show people, but that are equally important to give a sense of polish to the project.

Fenris high devlog update 35

heyo pups here we are with another update on the progress of fenris high! i'm happy to announce that now anothermeekone is also working with us, helping us out with the story ! thanks to him we sped up considerably in terms of finishing up the design document and the story beats! 

on the graphics side, this week we put another piece of furniture in the library, but it's not any ordinary piece of furniture, it's a whole freaking whale skeleton!

heyo peeps! we' re still working hard on the minigames for the start of the circus ,of course, but we're making fast progress. Rick has moved on the shooting minigame and now we can keep track of the shots fired by the damned : 20 shots , after wich he loses the game and you win, given you have at least one duck intact

we had to spend some time organizing ourselves with the assets we have, and fixing stuff that didn’t quite work, so there’s not much we can show off this week unfortunately.
