this week i picked up MorianderQ ' s request about a genie TF piece, so i kind of did a couple dumb stoner bros finding an ancient genie lamp and using it as a bong, with one of the guys literally inhaling the genie inside and merging with it, gaining access to his wish granting powers. Alright, this update is pretty straightforward, just the finished version of the cutscene i showed you last time. There's some parts that are a bit rough around the edges here and there, and technically it lacks the final scene ( where we see the demon in front of the priest get mad because he's got squirted on) but i think i can call it a day for now. so, as you can see this preview image is actually a video. I wanted to test scoring one of the cutscenes to the beat of the action onscreen with the help of one of our musicians- and i dunno , i thought you'd like to see the result-

andy and zap's voices aren't definitive since the music artist kind of put them in as placeholders. But i kind of like zap having a banjo-like voice and andy being all gremlin-y and raspy XD but i dunno , we'll see if other kinds of voices are more fitting....

I'm not sure what's happening with vimeo rn but i couldn't upload the video update on it today, so i used google drive instead, hopefully it works? but anyways in it my programmer shows and explains how he managed to implement various palette combinations in the game for the character customization. a bit of a mixed bag for zap & andy this week. At the start of the casino level zap will be given a demonic checkbook from mal that allows anyone to use a variety of hexes without having learned how to properly cast them. To use the checkbook you have to have the required amount of sins in your wallet (wich as i've shown you, will be harry the hellnaut) and the stamp containing the spell you want to cast. pretty simple stuff this time, Today the programmer completed a functioning version of the character creator editor, and tomorrow he'll implement the color shifting for the skin, eyes and the hair. Maybe i'll make a post tomorrow too to show that?

patreon devlog update 111: back on track

well, sort of. I was planning on finishing everything for the cutscene the day next i did the last z&a update, but in the end i was so tired i ended up not doing anything, so everything shifted out to this week. Long story short i wanted to show you more stuff but i mostly worked on the final scenes of the cutscene and some concept art and other things i still want to hold on till they're more finished.

Pixel art project update

the programmer is hard at work on the character creator for fenris high , but the thing is not just ready yet so there's nothing much to show on that front yet. On my side of things i'm keeping animating spooky scary skeletons, this time those wild bones taking a more traditional shape, putting on the humanoid skull and unsheating a bone club from it mouth.
