Step by Step: Fast & Sketchy Comms

Here's an explanation for everyone wondering who I do my drawings. This is a Sketchy Comm, so the simplest & fastest ones I offer. And this is how I do them:

1) Sketch - In this case I worked over a YCH sketch, but usually I do 2 ~ 3 layers of increasingly detailed sketches until I feel like everything important is in place. Currently I try to focus on this type of body and how it's built, how the different bodyparts come together, overlap each other, etc...

Big Peameal

First of the Big Daddy YCHs I posted here for Early Dibs a week ago. This one is for Peameal, who picked the quick & sketchy version. It's personally my favorite pose out of the three.

These YCHs were gone super fast and I had a handfull of folks messaging me about them afterwards, so I'll probably do another round later this month. With again, early access for all my top tier supporter.

Sketches 9: More Prince

There are two things I want to figure out: This body type (and how to be more comfortable with drawing it freehand) and how to do sketches that are quick and don't take forever to be presentable, but be still appealing?? How do people do that.

These are the two main gay dads from Mao Mao. And ... I know it's a lil different than what it said in the poll, but I just ... went with it? And I wanted to stay in the show's style more or less. It was fun, but probably not the best thing moving onward for other shows.

Also: Yeah I know, Dragonmaid Tohru won the poll originally. And I don't know that series, so I looked into it, to get an idea for the character aaaand ... it turned out, it was pretty weird. And not in a goo...

So, currently I feel like I'm working on many things at the same time, but don't get far with any of them. I do the odd commission, I've drawn many (big and bigger) cats for myself, I've been filling my daily sketch book and I'm also really in the mood (and process) of some long overdue home improvement. :'^D Not really art-related, but it's fun to me and it just takes up a lot of time + mental space.
