So, yesterday I was sketching and updating my own reference sheet.

But since I've been reading some very neat comics as of late (with even neater covers), I've tried to experiment with different painting styles.

I've ended up with this one. Although it's still a Work in Progress; you can see that the head is fully rendered, unlike the rest of the body.

But it's getting there. :)

Monday's Extra 03

As someone pointed out the other day, the Golden Week comic had it's third anniversary just now (!) and I should've celebrated it in some way.

Since I was feeling all comicky (?) and wanted to experiment further with Manga Studio, I've decided to redo the very first page of the comic in it.

So, I'm unsure of whether should I leave the BG bright as this one, or darker, like in the previous page.

Also, I don't have a lot of video footage for this page. I decided to try and make the whole thing on another software (Manga Studio) and it's proving itself to be rather good, although weird.

And since I knew nothing of it, it was a long process of trial and error, so, the video this weekend will be very brief.

Wednesday's Preview - 02

Nothing says premeditated murder quite like a room without witness. Wait, what? Oh yeah. After meeting Matthew's friends, apparently Scott finds himself alone in the shower with Matthew. Last week I posted the preview with two pages, and that was so cool, that I wanted to do it again! Hopefully with that, I'll keep a positive track record and eventually have two full pages a week! =D

And I totally forgot to post this yesterday (what is wrong with me!?)

The first fifteen pages or so of this fourth part of the comic were rather tense, but they could've been 20!

This one had some bugs and malfunctions, cause I tried to record while I did the whole livestream thing. The output file was different and I had to run it through many programs for it to be good to go.

Either way, Matthew and Roy are showering! Big surprise for Scott! O:

For the newest pages, Scott will interact with Matthew in a school's public shower (!!), and since these are not common at all over here at my country, I had to do some research on it. The Golden Week - Part 4 Page 22 - Time Lapse Making Of

The fourth time lapse thingy I do.

This one was way longer because I kept experimenting with things here and there, especially on the lettering part.

And I also took some photos of the page during the sketch phase on paper, which hopefully will make the video feel more complete.

So, since last year, I've had this one character in mind, but I can't help but to keep redesigning him. At first, he was overweight, then he got thinner and got a nice uniform, after that, he got a haircut. Eventually he became an reckless swashbuckler or a Space Hunter.
