Welcome to the first page of weekly illustrated series I've tentatively named, "Pick Up Line." As far as modern action combat games go, there are only three names worth knowing in my opinion; Ninja Gaiden, Bayonetta, and Devil May Cry. I think the Ninja Gaiden series lost its way after its snarky a-hole yet nonetheless visionary director unceremoniously jumped ship, and Bayonetta 2 was fun a but a little too easy and an obnoxious little sexist punk-ass who could turn into a squirrel marred the story significantly ( so not kidding.) Lady WIP

Hey here's what I'm working on today. No unusual effects or tricky lighting in store for the coloring as near as I can tell. Though it seems like whenever I have an "easy one" lined up it doesn't usually work out that way lol. 

Ranger Finished

Well I'll admit that for the lingerie I had to lean on texture a little more than I would have liked. Fact is when I tried to get in there and draw those patterns by hand they just looked scribbly and distracting. Lesson learned! Sometimes working digitally has its perks, but I'm happy with the results. :)

Hey gang, got another Black Desert character going here. And I'm currently starting in on some of the more detailed lingerie I've attempted yet. I'm going to do my best to present that detail while still simplifying it to fit my own cartoon style. We'll see how it goes!

I'm planning another fan art sale here coming up soon, which if you're unfamiliar is where I offer discounts on commission prices for jobs featuring a popular character. And I feel like I should have an image locked and loaded ready to promote it when the time comes. Weekly Sketch Vote Visual Aid.

So there are two things I've been wanting to improve here on my site. One is that Switch simply isn't moving fast enough to provide as many options for voting polls as I'd like. And another issue is what I should start posting every week for my exclusive Patreon sketch, as there is only so much extra Switch content I can come up with without stepping on the story.

Late Nights in Azeroth Commission

I'm becoming a big fan of commissions that present a story of some kind. In this case the idea of the client's WoW character hooking to cover her adventuring expenses. I honestly have a lot of fun with concepts like this. :)

Captain Kali Commission

This one presents a new kind of commission for me personally. Rather than hire me for comic pages the client has instead opted for a full image and then perhaps a sequel image to present a scene. This is a bit of an intriguing idea to me. As now that I'm running low on Switch character profiles to post, I've been racking my brain for new ideas for sketches every Monday. Maybe I should try something similar.

Wonder Woman Supergirl WIP

Here's what I'm working on today. It presents a challenge largely because their costumes are all bright saturated primary colors and that can be tricky for me. I especially hate using reds on any part of the image that isn't the focal point. As it is now I keep feeling my eyes drawn down to their boots lol.

Hey gang I know I usually do the sketches on Mondays but I may be away from my desk tomorrow and I didn't want to risk missing an update. Zero Suit Samus

Sooo I tried giving this a more painted, "line-less" look, and promptly decided I hated it and that the line art needed to stay. It seems for now, at least, I'm a cartoonist at heart and without solid lines the work just looks wrong to me somehow.

So I compromised: colored line art! I like how this one looks and I think I'll try it again sometime.
