monsterfuck mountain cover + wips

what i WANTED to do with this originally was to go full frank frazetta, paint everything, very sexy, you know. 

but i am not a painter. i am SO completely not a painter, and the attempt just looked awful. so then i overworked it with ink, and that looked awful too. then i was like 'wait i should imply the monsters on the cover, that's important' and made the second draft

but ultimately i liked the composition of the first one a lot, and went back to it, and Here We Are. still...

i got the edits back on my draft for the first encounter/demo of monsterfuck mountain, which means after i finish up the illustrations and mirror it in twine, i'll be able to post it soon >:) probably early next month!

this is the illustration attached to one of the routes. it's not often i get to just Post fully finished book illustrations here, but since this will be in a free (well, free in that you have to be a patron at first) demo i think it's fine to spoil it.

another instance of playing with new brushes and such. i don't think i like the one i used for this, but oh well! in the Story, aozora falls for hiroto, totally not knowing who he is (and vice versa), and hiroto humors it out of curiosity and develops feelings himself

genuinely don't know whose idea this would've been because aozora would be too shy to ask for it and momoka wouldn't think to ask to do it
