Gier, the Patron God of Maxim's order has very interesting requirements of his followers. Long, bountiful locks are a must, and strangely, all the highest ranking, and most powerful (physically or otherwise,) members are quite large in the buttox area. That whole 'fabulous hair' thing is kinda bad for fighting evil though, so these headbands are pretty common.
