In this episode of Sailing Dark Angel we concentrate on our friends new to them Manta 38 cat Kokomo. Dave does some bottom sanding before splashing in an insanely tight well, and then moving to a nearby marina. Later we crew Kokomo down the ICW, with a stop at Peck Lake to enjoy the sunset. The beach makes me long for the days I wandered naked on the beaches in the Bahamas! Then we move on to her new home in Lake Worth... on the mooring we're borrowing!

We replace our 8 totally failed Firefly AGM batteries with half a dozen lightly used 125Ah Sealed Lead Acid batteries.
With fresh batteries installed it's time to celebrate with tacos, margaritas and playtime in the fountain.

In this episode of Sailing Dark Angel, we spend our last few days in the Exumas at Allan's Cay. We explore a reef outside the protection of the island before cleaning Dark Angel's bottom for the trip back to Bimini. The sail toward Bimini is a bit choppy, but anchoring out at an isolated reef is even worse! Living without batteries is a real challenge.

We say good-bye to our beloved Pipe Creek and begin our trek north. A short hop outside on the sound takes us to Compass Cay, where we explore the shoreline, and then a beautiful shark interupts shower time. A longer hop up to Norman's Cay has us sailing through a squall, and a few very windy days later we sail for Allen's Cay, our last stop in the Exumas.
