Work update!

Hello everyone!

Just to give a quick update that I'm inking the final page for chapter one of Marie: Rise of Adam. I should be able to post it next week for a 4 page update. 

After the update I will do the colors for the April pinup of Witchblade and probably start the mockup for the May one.

I'm also writing up the second chapter of Marie and can't wait to start drawing that! The next chapter gets us back to Marie and Lucas. Very exciting!

Marie: Inspiration to comics

Hi everyone!

Sometimes I get asked if I base my characters on a model. The answer is often yes. For Lucy and Dinah, I was inspired by the ladies above. Tabitha Lyons and Jessica Nigri. Now I'm not a caricaturist so sometimes it's more the essence then accuracy.

Just a little head's up that I will update Marie: Rise of Adam in 2 pages updates. Since they're fully inked and color, I feel it would take more time between updates if I wait for more. The first batch of page was to get the ball rolling. But there's no stopping it now. The next two pages should be posted by Wednesday this week!

Pinup talk

Hi everyone,

I just want to take a second to talk about this month's pinup. 

I've been working exclusively on Marie these past weeks and I'm having a LOT OF FUN. Working on a pinup sometimes feel like I have to put a break on the sort of drive I have when I'm working and after I'm done with the pinup, I have a hard time getting back to where I was.

Now I'm not here saying I won't do pinups anymore because sometimes I feel like they are "palette cleanser" between project...

A few words about Marie: Rise of Adam

If you're going to read MROA... Please keep this in mind.

I did not want to do Marie #2. I didn't. Or rather, I didn't want to de the same thing. I didn't want to do a rinse and repeat of what I did in #1. It did not entice me at all.

However. The panel at the top. That to me was exciting. Marie's past. What she did. Who is she? What did she do before. How did she get all that stuff? These things interested me. The more I thought of those things, the more story crafted in my head....

Marie work in progress

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to keep everyone updated to the progress of Marie #2.

I'm doing the clean up work right now and heading into inking as soon as I'm finished. I'm seperating the book in chapters so as soon as I finish this one (it has 16 pages) I'll start to show more. I won't be showing lettered pages until they're in full color as I feel like it robs from the final show of the pages.

Status update!

Hello everyone!

Yes, I'm still writing and sketching the interior of the book. However I wanted to finish up the cover and share with you guys! 

Also, just to make it official, Marie #2 will be fully colored. 

Before I go, I just want to be transparent about one thing. People expecting a rinse and repeat of the first issue will be horribly dissapointed. This issue is about revealing just who Marie is and what's in store for her and Lucas. 

Next project

Next Story

This is more of a curiosity on my part then making this official.

I'm nearing the end of Riley. I'm trying to choose the next project. I'm putting these down there but I have so many little stories in thumbnails...

I like to do two types of comics. More down to earth and just go full comic book either sci fi or super hero action. Altering between the two is always fun.

What are you the most interested in? I want to know. Feel free to comment below also.
