Big WIP Update!

Hey everyone.

Sorry I have been so quiet on the posting front, I was really rushing with a lot of things, both for art and for my personal life. I got a lot of things going on, but thankfully most are good.

Sketches for the new comic

Without spoiling much or giving much context, these are the sketches I've made so far for the FMA comic. It involves bending the rules of alchemy from the original story a bit, but I feel it's for a good cause.

That good cause being making Winry, Izumi and Olivier extremely powerful and muscular goddesses, I mean.

So here's what I got so far. I feel like I've gotten a lot better at panelling these things and finding interesting angles. That being said, I feel like working on these...

Sketches and YCH Comms + some ideas

So, had some things come across that required me to spend some money I didn't want to (or have, for the most part) so I came around to doing some YCH commissions that helped the situation these last few days. Still need a few more bucks to break even, but I'm glad people like me and my work and came to help. Thanks, guys.

Also, a friend and I were thinking about the comic I should work next, and how it could create interesting content and help me get over slumps. Not sure I can do this,...

Testing out timelapses

So, I was thinking of uploading a few of my drawings as timelapses just to show the process, or even with a short voiceover to talk about what I did and/or interesting things about the drawing. Not sure if you guys would enjoy it as much, but I think it's a nice way for me to review my own work and share with you the way I think about each piece.

Komi and Emerald Story

Commission work I recently did, starting a new short story about these cute and muscular characters!

TBH, I've never watched this particular anime, but I sometimes like when commissions take me into new territory. These characters from Komi Can't Communicate seem interesting, and makes it somewhat of a mistery to everyone - including me - about what will happen next in this cenario!

Fun collab!

So, here's a little something I worked on this week. TMGF remade a sequence I made (I believe it was the first ever sequence I tried to draw on the computer) many MANY years ago, when I was just learning how to draw. I can't tell him how much this made my day, and I had to polish it up and at least try to color it. As of right now, I have to work on commissions to make ends meet, but I'm really over the moon with this gift and how this turned out.

Pretty happy with this one, except for one thing. I don't know if any of you ever tried to understand the story of Guilty Gear, but I tried and just gave up. Even with a video, I found it too confusing and difficult to think of an interesting scenario for this pic. So here's the most beautiful Jack-O I've ever seen, no context.

Birthday Update and WIP Jack-O

So... Finished the lines for her regular non-futa version. I'm pretty happy with the result. 

Gonna take tomorrow off for my birthday, just wanted to thank you all for being so patient and kind to me during these last years and especially these moments when I'm feeling really down. You guys help me more than you know. Thank you.

Update

Hello.

So, in case you guys were wondering, I am in fact alive heh. I'm just a bit - maybe a lot - under the weather. I got sick last week, feeling a bit better now, but the emotional impact coupled with the fact that my birthday is next thursday (personal shit on that front) got me feeling very depressed.

Today I was able to sketch a bit, as you can see above. I'm sorry if I haven't responded you or updated you on any works in particular, I kinda just have to get back on my feet....

Also, to be clear, I'm probably not gonna use their full clothing (if I use their clothing at all), because as much as I love their clothes and designs, I'm not about to try and draw them. I love seeing them, I'm pretty sure I'll hate trying to recreate them on their buffed up versions lol.

So, I've just downloaded Guilty Gear Strive again and I wanted to make a drawing of one of the girls. Problem is, I can't decide between my favourites! So I'm here to ask your help!

Below are the options, and in a couple of minutes I'll post the official splash arts so you guys can easily see them and vote. I think Patreon decided adding images to polls was a bad idea, for some reason, so... yeah.

WIP updates

So, got a bunch of stuff done recently. The main picture here is the almost finished commission I was working on, which I'll post later with all the dialogue and effects once it's done. The rest are fun ideas/sketches I worked on between projects that I hope you guys enjoy.

I usually do a bunch of these during the month, I'll try to make a habit of sharing them here before the month's end.

Rewards so far (UPDATED)

Finished the final characters and worked on the colors of the interested people! Hope everyone got their character how they wanted them, if you want any changes or I somehow forgot you character AGAIN (which is not impossible, but I did try to organize better this time), just DM me here or on Discord and I'll get to it ASAP.

Here are all the versions I came up with for the YCH rewards! Don't worry, they will be lineart works, but I decided it was smarter to just show you all the poses and save myself some work in case one pose or another gets no requests, you know?

And for the first time, I decided to make alt versions that could be used for male characters (mainly the one ones on the left, but top right could be used for that too), so you guys can request male characters now!

A little update

So, guys... First of all, I want to thank you all who stayed here. You guys are the reason I can keep drawing, and that is the most important thing for me. Thank you.

To show some love back, I'm gonna be doing some poses for another YCH batch! Should post the 3-4 poses I make during this week on Saturday, so stay tuned for that.

Here's a little flex!

Fun commission I worked on. Really helped me try out massive proportions, which I for some reason tend to hold back on most of the time.

Also, really like it when people come to me for some commissions with their OCs/Redesigns of characters! It's always fun learning/imagining how they are in each pose!

Sketches and Future Projects/Commissions

The bad thing is I tend to forget what I was working on or take a break and work on something else, and then I tend to leave projects - even commissions, which are one of the main ways I can make a living - unfinished. So, I wanted to post the CSP/PSD file, but it was a bit big, so I just decided to get you guys as many variants as I could.

I was really pleased with this picture. Been a while since I worked on a scenario like this, and despite the fact I only used 2 main shading layers for each character, I'm very satisfied with what I was able to do. Plus it made it easier to fit her futa alt.

Also, the blood took me literally a whole afternoon to get right. I feel like it looks a lot more like...

Btw this wasn't a commission. I felt it was best to just delay working on comms for a bit, needed to work on something just for me. Also, there will be a bunch of slightly altered versions for the 10$+ tiers, like PNGs with no bg and my thoughts on this piece.

This was a little challenging, with keeping her pose but changing the POV, but also quite fun. In the next step, however, she might get a pleasant but rather unexpected surprise!

Meet Eve!

So, this is one of HyperSonic's OCs, and I love her overall design! She's pretty clever, too, using buttons on her clothes where normal ones tend to burst with the slightest flex!

Really fun to work on this one :D.

Plans for the week

So, I used to post plans for the week on what I wanted to post. I think that was a good habit that I want to resume.

This week, I want to:

- Finish both commissions I'm working on the final details and post them here;

- Start a new animation project (at least the sketches)

- Work on a personal drawing and post an update here for you guys.

Hope this was interesting! Might do more of these in the future.

TMGF Ashley PSD

So, this was also an experiment in shading. Usually I shade with darker colors or colors closer to red. At first I tried some blue, but it felt... wrong. Ashley isn't blue, you know?

So I tried purple shades, and I think they fit rather well! Switching from multiply to overlay helped in not making her too dark as well, and I think this looks pretty nice in the end!

Also, I blocked out the shadows and highlights as you can see, and then blended them where I felt the light would ben...

TMGF Ashley Fanart!

This was truly a delight of a surprise! I'm really happy that TMGF made this, and this time I tried to keep his linework intact and give this drawing some extra *omph* with the lighting. I'll add a post later with the csp/psd files if anyone's interested in seeing how I did it.

Anyways, maybe Ashely should resume her posts on flexagram? :D

Coach Jenny PSD

As I said, here's the PSD/CSP file for this beautiful lady.

I used a cube brush for all of this drawing. Smaller for the lines, obviously, so they don't show that too much, but bigger for the shading and lighting. It's interesting, because I tend to use rounder/softer shaped brushes for my works, and using this brush gave me some interesting insight as to how we perceive light and shadows. 

And especially on her futa version, I realized that using a brush with a harder shape ...

Coach Jenny (TheOfficialPit study!)

So, if you don't know, I love ThePit's art and the characters he popularized. So I wanted to study his style. I tried mimicking it but adding some of my twitsts, and after I finished the lines I tried to color and shade to somewhat resemble what he does, except using a brush that I wanted to try and get profficient with.

Hey guys. So, I'm finishing up works on commissions, and I'm pretty happy with the results.

The first two images are of a young OC (not mine) named Eve, and she's got these peculiar clothes with buttons on them in unusual places. Guess what those are for?
