So... I am confusion.

Hello there. I have some confusing news!

I'm working on Johan's routes as always and I decided to check on Karnal's scripts to check how is the naming convention I use to create the route paths. Route Paths are how I organize the routes so I can anchor them to one another, it's very similar to how Windows Paths works too. So, I wanted to know if the route would be something like: Johan/1stAct/1 or main/johan/1stact/1 or main/3rdDay/Johan/1stAct/1 and so on.

Updates for Build 0.71

I have good and bad news.
The good news is that I finally figured out what was happening with the 1st encounters being selected even if you had met the character before instead of going for second or third encounter.
However a new problema arrived, essentially you would never be able to see a first encounter even if it was your first time seeing them with the fix I found.

The fix for that was to find a way to add a boolean.

So I'm just here to tell y'all that the Tier 3+ patrons voted for Johan's new routes on Day 4. This means 12 whole routes since the start of a new day from Day 4 onwards have 3 possible encounters plus an Act0 to write. It should be finished by the end of the month as always, but I'm trying to deliver every build by day 25. So let's hope I can do stuff until then! :)

Development Update: Theming done!

Hello there guys. First of all thank you all for supporting me this month! 40 patrons in total is a good number! I'll keep on saving as much money as I can to keep investing in Just Friends be it by buying music or music packs and more artwork for it!

I finished the theming for just Friends on Godot 4. NOW, I only need to push the remaining missing routes for Johan! :D

Development Update: Theming

Hello guys. I've been fine-tuning some small things I have seem to forgot to do before I branched Just Friends out of Visual Novel Core, which means I have to do some double checks on both just Friends and the base engine because yes.

Either way, I've been fixing stuff, and adding the theming for the next build. So far I finished the Title Screen, and I'm now changing the Load/Save screen.

Just Friends Build: 0.69.0.Godot4.3 is now Available for Tier 2+ patrons!

If you're a Tier 2 aptron or above that you will soon get a link and password to download and unlock the new build of the game. Quick Update!

I'm almost finishing the gallery system. Once it's fully functional, the CORE Visual Novel program will be finished. Next month we'll have a fully Just Friends build in this engine, and I'll start by branching the project and starting to change the whole theming. After that, I'll push the remaining missing routes into the new build and by the end of March the Tier 3 and 4 patrons will be able to vote again for the next routes and updates!

Johan new Artworks Release!

For tier 3 patrons, here's the pack with four models for Johan:

Underwear, Fully Clothed, Shirt With Underwear and Shirtless.

Tier 4 patrons already have access to these and also to some extra spicier variants, since they do help more, so I gave them more to see.

Now the file IS protected. You need to ask for the link to download and the password of it.

Right now though, the current Tier 3 patrons for this date (and Tier 4) will get a message with the password...

Just Friends - Visual Novel Core Build - Version 0.10.7 Released!

The name is weird, right? That's because as part of the Porting efforts to Godot 4, I didn't create the Just Friends engine, I created a Visual Novel engine instead, and Just Friends is being loaded in this engine for now. Once the engine is completed, it will be branched into a copy that is called Just Friends. And then, we'll have the game as it should be.

VNC Just Friends Build 0.5.0 GD4.3 Release Date.

Hello you all!

I have some news. First I was able to finally, after weeks, add the Save/Load/Delete feature to the game, it was a painful process, but the whole system is more complex now, thankfully with the help of a friend who gave me some good pointers and did a lot of the actual ground working for the core of the VN, the code is way more procedural now. This means, loading stuff is way easier, only needing to load very little information and the rest just happens automatically.

Build 0.67.0.35 Release!

Tiers 2+ patrons have already gotten the message for the new build that was released early today.

It took me some days do fine-tune everything, but the "Default" theme of the Message Log menu is now done. I think it's different enough from others VN's too, and it looks quite nice.

Build 0.66 Released for Tier 2 Patrons!

It's finally here. Sorry for literally taking to the last day to release it, I got too caught up on the port for Godot 4.

Next month new route will be chosen by myself, I decided to do one last route for Johan on Day 2 which is his Plot Route. Plot routes tends to be twice as long as a normal act, and they have juicy info about the character personal life. It may take a bit to write about it, but we'll see.
