I don't have very much to say once again...
Everything is going well, I'm drawing whenever I can. My immediate goal is to stockpile on drawings and new characters so I can keep posting one every week even when I go back to coding.
That's the plan for now.

My face is pretty much the opposite of Palutena's right now: we broke the 10$ mark! It might not sound like much, but I'm so happy, this is amazing. Thank you so much!
I also updated the Patreon page, not so much has changed, mostly the goals: the 400$ goal (monstergirl votes) has been lowered to 200$ and the 1000$ one (me working full time on B.E. Witches) has been lowered to 500$. There is also a new 100$ goal, I'll let you check it out yourself :)

Nothing crazy this week, just a higher rank T. There's more on my deviantart/pixiv, if you're interested.
I've been working on a new character, which I'll reveal next week. This is going to be the first non story related monster girl, just a random encounter monster.
I've also been working on a tumblr, as well as updating my Patreon and Itch.io page, and all of that stuff will go live at the same time as the character reveal.

I realized a lot of people actually do post copyrighted characters on their patreon, so whatever, I guess I'll do it too. This is also my first patrons only post. The devlogs will be available for everyone, but everything else will be patrons only.
I'm also thinking of making a tumblr soon, and I could even hold some votes for people to decide which character I'll draw next, like a monthly commission for patrons only, something like that.
So yeah, lots of things to do. for now I'll focus...

New character! This is T, the android.
I realized that I only have ideas for the game's story and the characters' background, nothing really concrete. I'll work on it at some point, obviously, but this is pretty low priority right now, there's so much left to do... Anyway, I'm pretty happy with how T turned out, I really feel like my drawing skills are improving, little by little.

As promised, I uploaded something on my pixiv and deviantart (not here since this is a copyrighted character). It has nothing to do with B.E. Witches, but you can expect a new character next week!

No character this week. However, every week beginning from next week, I'll have some stuff to show off, whether it be a new character or an unrelated drawing.
If my current situation wasn't as hectic as it is, I would have begun posting drawings this week instead of the next one, but sadly this is just not happening, sorry.

No character this week, but I'm working on it. In fact, I figured since I'm done with the demo and most of the views I get seem to be from what I draw, I'll be in drawing only mode for while. I have a bunch of character designs in my head, all that's left is to draw them when I have the time.
If I play my cards well, I'll have interesting stuff to show for weeks. :)

I've been pretty busy this week, and chances are it will stay that way for a while.
I've updated the demo after I found a few bugs, and I've begun thinking about a new character. Hopefully it will be done by next week, but I can't promise that, sadly.
Other than that, I know exactly what I need to work on from now on, the real challenge will be finding the time to do it...

And here it is!
This new demo has some exploration (and by some I mean like 10 rooms, which are a pain to design at this point in time, so that's why). I think you'll be able to get a good feel of how the game is going to work when it's done, and I'm extremely happy with it overall :D
However, this is still very, very early in development, so there might some bugs, though I haven't encountered any during my tests. If you find any or want to give me some feedback, please go ahead, I'm all...

Short update this week :
I'm pretty much done coding, there are a few little things I still need to do, but all of the really necessary stuff has been taken care of, so you can now explore, randomly find a monster and fight it, access the menu to equip spells... It's beginning to look like an actual game! :D
I've begun working on the graphics, so by the end of next week I should be really close to have the demo ready. Probably between devlog #15 and #16.

Hey,
some not so cool stuff happened this week : the computer I used for coding stopped working. I save frequently, so the game is okay, I barely lost anything. However, I spent quite a bit of time trying to fix my computer, which I couldn't do. In the end it's not so bad I guess, I can still work on my other computer, I just lost some time I could have spent on B.E. Witches.

Not a lot to report this week, as expected. I coded a lot, and it will be the same next week.
The hardest part of the exploration system is done however, which is great, I'm very happy with it. As things are, you can go from one room to the other, open chests, encounter random monsters, switch switches...
I should be done with coding next week. After that will come designing a simple area for the demo and drawing all the necessary assets.

A whole lot of much needed planning happened this week. I had a lot of ideas I knew I wanted in the game, and I now know how I'll be implementing them, which I have also begun to do.
It might not sound like much, but that was a lot of thinking that needed to be done, and now I'll just have to code, a lot.
I'm really excited for the next few weeks, I might actually be able to get that new demo on time!

And done! This week was, as expected, very busy for me. Good thing I took that into account and was able to finish the menus :D

The next step is to create a new character, which I'm already working on.

Some great progress this week, the menu is almost done!
I'll be very busy next week, but I should still have enough time to finish up what little is left to be done.

This week was almost exclusively coding the main menu, and it went great! I'm really happy with the result so far.
I'd say about 65% of the menu is done, however next week might be busy for me, so I don't know if I'll be able to share a look before devlog #009. If I do, it's probably going to be on my twitter.
So yeah, nothing exceptional this week, just things going well.

And here it is, the result of my training! It's not mindblowing, but I'm still really happy with how it turned out. If you're interested, there is a no logo version as well as the lineart available on my pixiv.
I'll do my best to keep improving!
Now, for the actual weekly update:

I'm back! I did a lot of work on B.E. Witches, a lot of planification, a lot of ideas, and the menus are almost finished! I'm really happy with all of it
However, I actually ended up using most of my time to train and get better at drawing, which I'll need for what's to come. I'm really happy with the result, which I'll be sharing next week.

- I began working on the inventory interface

All the small stuff is done!
- Added recipes and consumables to the item list
- Resorted all of the items' properties
- Designed most menus (inventory, equipment, stats, bestiary...)
I'm still unsure about how a few menus will look exactly, but that's okay for now, meaning that the next step is to draw all the interfaces and menu stuff.

As expected, a lot more fixes and small improvements, but that stuff needs to be done.
- Portrait optimization is done! It looks the same, but it works way, way better.
- Same thing with the opponent object.
- Added a sprite showing the type of attack that is going to be used next by the monster, it is now easier to see that information.
- Improved the spell selection system for the monster. Less random, more control for me.

A lot of what I did this week doesn't have a lot of impact directly on the gameplay, it was more optimization and future proofing.
- Improved the buff/debuff system
- Updated character stats
- Began optimizing character portrait stuff
- some minor fixes here and there
Nothing major this week, and chances are the next two weeks will be about the same, but this stuff needs to be done.

And so it begins! Here is the first demo of B.E. Witches. There are a loooot of things that I want to add, but for now there are only 4 test fights in this demo. I hope you enjoy it!
I will try to post an update on the game's development every week. It probably won't be too fancy since I work on B.E. Witches by myself on my free time, but I'm doing my best to make some progress every day.
