It really was a lot. It would be one thing if I only had to draw a bunch of objects and backgrounds from a list, but you have to also actually come up with that list. The reason this took so long is that I also had to make sure I knew what story events I wanted, to figure out what each map was going to look like, to create puzzle systems, secrets and interactable objects and their effect, to know when and how to introduce the various game mechanic...

I was pretty tired of drawing new areas by the end of last month, so I wasn't sure whether I should do something else or not. I decided to push through and keep at it, and it turns out that was a great decision! As the title suggests, it's been all design related stuff this month!
The first thing I did was work on the story. As mentionned in the previous devlog I already knew the main story beats, but I made sure everything made sense, improved a lot of parts and how everything comes together, when and how new game mechanics are introduced, when and how new character are introduced, all this stuff. I now have a very precise and interesting version of the events that will occur in the next demo....

And finally, here is the Kobold! Her modifiers were Big butt, Clumsy and Cute maid.
I expected her to be easy to draw since I knew exactly what her pose was going to be like, but she gave me unexpected trouble. I usually don't design each part of the outfit separately, but I had to do so for her maid dress. I'm very happy with how she came out though! I'd say she's among the cutest girls in BEW.
