0.08a Announcement

Finally, the release is done! It's uploading as we speak, something, I hope, to end the year on a high note with. The update also includes a polished remake of the first battle scene in the prologue.

This update was by necessity focused on character development, so, story heavy. In the next chapter after this one, the player will be able to take a step back and spend some time with other members of the House and maybe some friends.

Dev log 19.12.2021

Hi everyone, land is in sight. Apart from the final short scene D, most other renders are done and next week will be all about fixing minor details, finalizing animations, playtesting and editing. This means the new update should be out for the early release tiers on the 29th.

We're entering the final stretch of the release and I'm excited to get this update out as soon as possible. One of the scenes is shaping up to be one of the longest yet, if not the longest, and one of my favorites so far. Not many more details can be shared because they'd be pretty deep in spoiler territory. And with that, I'm going back to rendering. See you all next week.

Hey everyone, and before you ask, nope, I did not confuse Saturday with Sunday. I thought I'd post the dev update earlier this week for a change because exactly one year ago, on the 04.12.2020, I released the first update of the game.

I'm making more progress. Scene C is finished and I am tackling scene A again. On Dec the 3rd, my current day job related stress source will mostly come to an end (lower work hours), so I am confident that a release later in December is possible and will not disappoint. Things keep progressing at a good pace, but this coming update has a lot of new environments and manual posing which makes scene development take a bit longer. So realistically, I expect the update to be ready some time in December rather than late November. This pushes the development cycle a bit but I would rather invest slightly more time to avoid having it look rushed like some other scenes in the past.

We reached over 500 patrons!

I am one day late to the party, but better late than never! We officially hit the 500 patron mark. Many many thanks to all of you for making this possible! 

Almost 9 months have passed since I released the first version and, as I said in the last announcement, I aim to make this a part time engagement. Me being able to do so and reduce my day job to a part time commitment is coming closer to reality.

This week we continued working on various things. I also took a day to remake one of the older scenes. It finally looks like how I imagined it 8 months ago, gritty and more impactful.

Fairy's basement scene is getting a new optional scene for the rough path (for those who didn't like the... hands on part) and the world map is also being redone from the ground up to allow us to show more locations and in greater detail.

We are starting a new month and Scene A is still in development. Just like the mutant mission it's one of those scenes I want to avoid to spoil too much. All I can say is that it will include the longest and most "cinematic" cutscene I've done so far, and I'm pretty excited about it. Last week was a busy week, working on the patch as well as putting the new version on paper. We discussed the story once more and the rendering is well underway. The first scene will be quite long as it covers both Shani's preparation and the Queen's visit, so it will take some time.
