Update on the hover-over description!
I decided to not delete them, but to make my own descriptions which become visible when hovering over the jars.

First of all, the names of the specters in the image above were also added by me, but with the Name-interaction. So you can change this into anything you want to.

A small update on the Specters in a jar object.
I've succeeded in adding a yellow specter in a jar  bonus object, but as you might know, the yellow Specter normally weares glasses. For some reason this VFX isn't included in the full vfx-list, so you will get a yellow Specter without glasses. This might also be the reason EA didn't include this one at the release of Paranormal.

I've could have shared this one yesterday already, but I wanted the cloning problem to be fixed first! So now I did, here are the 'default' Specters in a jar. The friendly green, the mysterious blue and the mean red specters.

Hi all,
Have been quite busy with other things then Sims again, but I do have some updates about the Specters in a jar mods.

I've succesfully unlocked the blue, green and red specter in a jar objects, but using the clone tool on them in game doesn't work and I don't know why yet. I haven't had this problem before, so right now I also don't know yet how to fix this.

I still need to see if I can make a version where the yellow specter is locked up in a jar too.

Build/Buy Mode - Wrench Icon Hider

I'm not sure if it's just me, but I can't seem to find an updated Wrench-icon hider anymore that can be used in buy/build mode and fully erase the wrench-icon.

I used to download a version made by ClaudioSharon at MTS, but that one isn't up-to-date (yet). Then I've took a look at the MizoreYukii version, but it looks to me that she didn't updated the 'no-swatch-icon' version.

New project - Specters?

Last week I bought the Paranormal stuff pack and yesterday I took a first look at it to see if there's anything moddable about it.

Of course my first thought was to do something with the specters, but so far I haven't found much useable vfx codes yet. I still have no idea how I can make the specters to wander around like they do at night on a Haunted Residential lot type as it's not a vfx like with the Onibi.

Worked on the terra tree toads today and this is the outcome. Although I don't have to make the toads myself as they're already in game, it's quite a frustrating work sometimes getting them to spawn in the right way. In this case with it's feet on the ground.

Sneak Peek Images - Desert Terrarium - Terra Tree Toad

Just remembered I didn't shared what the extra desert terrarium animal would be, well it's the one from the images that came with he Star Wars game pack. It's called a Terra Tree Toad and it can be found all around Batuu.

So far I did find 2 possibly useable vfx codes from a big and small terra tree toad.
Still have to make them into a placeable animal though, but I hope to be able to do that today and share it immediately with you all.

Sneak Peek Images - Poison Dart Frogs - Strawberry frogs

Instead of 2 new frogs, I've made 4. I couldn't choose between the spotted and striped ones, so decided to pick them both for both the red as yellow color.

Next thing to do, make an extra desert animal. But that will have to wait to tomorrow probably.

She has multiple cool and interesting ideas for it, for which she's trying to figure out if they're all possible. Besides that, she has her own mods to work on, but not in the last place it's COVID19 which makes her work flow a bit slower then usual.

Sneak Peek Images - Poison Dart Frogs - Banded frogs

Another 4 new poison dart frogs. This 'set' started with the Bumblebee (yellow banded) poison dart frog and while searching the internet for other poison dart frogs, I noticed there's also a 'green and black' and 'blue and black' poison dart frog. The orange and black is the same species (I thought) like the bumblebee is, but just a slightly different color.

Although I did already show the dark blue one, I didn't showed it from up close. So here is the dark blue and a new light blue poison dart frog. By placing them behind glass in the terrarium, the color looks slightly less bright, but that's also the case with the plants.

I do think these frogs look a lot better inside the terrarium as the default base game frogs do. These look more exotic. I'm also working on a few other posion dart frog recolors, but I'll do have to admit that it's mor...

Sneak Peek Images - Other Terrarium Ideas

I was playing with the terraria and plants I have so far and as the vines sometimes go through the glass of the terraria when placed on a deco slot at the sides, I thought, why not place another terrarium straight next to it.
So that's what I did on the first image. You clearly can see they're still two separate terraria, but as the vines now go straight through the glass to the other one, you can also use a bit more imagination to see it as one tall terrarium.

So now the plants are done for both the desert as the tropical terraria, all is left now are the animals. Besides the iguanas and the base game terrarium frogs which are already released ages ago, I'm now going to try to make some more Poison Dart Frogs (besides the dark blue one I already made) and maybe try to find another 'new' animal. More about that later!

And the last tropical vine, which is also the last tropical plant for the terrarium to choose from. I think having all plants shared before, really makes it possible to create very cool looking terraria. 

Of course you can also mix and match the 'desert' plants with the 'tropical' if you want to, to create even more different looking terraria.

Sad aviary news :(

I haven't given updates lately about my own aviary, but I just need to share this here as it made me very sad this morning.

A few weeks ago, I discovered that the Bourke parakeets couple that can be seen on the image above, had laid 6 eggs! From those 6, 3 hatched last week and they were all doing very well the days following. Now this morning when doing a check if everything was still ok, I found out that 2 of the 3 baby birds had died. I think they died of the cold as a few days back ...

The second tropical vine! Just as with the former one, the big one is the default size, the others have been made smaller with the open bracket key '['. 

Using this vertical one creates a bit more depth in the terrarium. When made smaller, you can also place them on the higher levels, though a tiny bit will stick out above the terrarium. Outdoors this will be visible, indoors it disappears into the ceiling without sticking out above it.

I've finished the Bromeliad Vine today! When looking at the second image, you will notice that I've tried to make it match the 'normal' Bromeliad plant as for the recolors too. This also means I made a version without the flowers.

Like the title already says, the very talented and my good friend Icemunmun is working on the terrarium project too. What she will try, is to add more interesting interactions to the object. One of them being a feeding interaction.

Sneak Peek Images - Terrarium - Tropical Plants - Bromeliad Vine

Last week I already shared that I was working on the bromeliad vine. If you didn't know which plant I ment, it's the one on the first image. After some testing, I've now reduced it's size to what you see on the second image. If you want to place it on the highest or second highest ridge, you'll need to shrink it down 1 or 2 times.

I'm still trying to make the right recolors, but I have the feeling it's a bit more difficult then with the 'normal' Bromeliad. Hope to share both more recolo...

Non-Sims: Photographed some beautiful (Blue) Moor Frogs

Like most of you know, I'm a big nature/animal lover. Another thing which I love is making photos. Those are some perfect things to combine and last week when taking a walk in a National Park near my home I found these (blue) moor frogs.

Moor frogs normally are brown colored, but during the mating season the males turn blue.

Eyedropper tool not working properly

Hello all, 

I don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but at the moment my eyedropper tool doesn't work it should in game. It does switch to the right thumbnail in the catalog, but it isn't cloning the object which it normally does. 

Without any mods it does work, so it's definitly a problem with some kind of mod.
It isn't one of my own luckely, but maybe someone can shine a light upon which mod is causing this problem?

In the meantime I will keep test...

Sneak Peek Images - Terrarium - Tropical Plants - Tropic Fern

I thought I already shared these images, but it turned out I didn't..
A new tropical plant, the tropical fern! I came with this plant name myself as like very often in game, object names don't really make any sense. It's again a plant I separated from a pot and made some additional recolors for.

My former milestone of 1M downloads was already 2 years ago on the 5th of may 2019.
To have reached another 1M downloads in just 2 years is really awesome. Especially when thinking about the fact that the first 1M took me approximately 5 years 😊.

Sneak Peek Images - Terrarium - Plants + Shadows!

I've fixed it, though I don't know if I fixed it the right way..😅 But I couldn't find any problems with it so far. I've also made an example of how to use the plants together in your garden. I think that would look quite nice on both sides of your front door for example.

I still have a few plants that I would like to make available as tropical terrarium plants, so more sneak peeks will follow! :)

Shadow issue most of the plants...

You've probably noticed in my former posts that most of the sun-shadows for my terrarium plants aren't visible. You also clearly see a shadow for the mangrove palm in pot and none for my terrarium mangrove plants. For the cactus though,  it is visible!

Anddd, I can't really stand that.😅 I love a bit of realism and having no shadows is just strange. Especially as right now, one of them, does have a sun-shadow!
